About Me

For more than 20 years I've worked to improve relationships. I love to accept a couple, a family, or a workplace setting and learn the dynamics involved. After that, I'll develop a plan to reach each individual, explain what's required to close the gap in the relationship, and how to improve communication.

I'm excited to bring these experiences, and the associated knowledge, to this course and to help my students create a deeper understanding of the personality theory.

The Relationships Communication course is an experiential approach to everyday intra- and interpersonal processes. It emphasizes observation, practice, and discussion of such topics as self-disclosure, trust, verbal and nonverbal expression of feelings, listening skills, conflict resolution, anger and stress management, and the value of cultivating diverse relationships, while considering personal ethics, biases, and values in intra- and interpersonal processes.

Basic psychological principles will be presented in mini-lecture form and integrated into classroom dialogue. Class participation is an essential component of this course as emphasis is on skill development. It is psychology for daily living - for all of us.

I teach for all levels, from very beginners to advanced speakers, passing through amateurs or simply curious of any age. I can also help with university exams and school works/assignments.
Being a pianist and a piano teacher, I already have lots of experience with teaching and pedagogical approach with the whole range of ages.

The lesson is intended to meet the student needs: the focus can be on the grammar, conversation or literature. In case of a middle-level speaker, the lesson will cover all four language's abilities: listening, speaking, writing and reading. My suggestion of a well planned lesson is, for any level, to divide it into two parts: grammar first and then conversation (covering all the abilities mentioned above).

I was born and have lived in the United States my entire life (28 years). I lived in the rural Midwestern state of Wisconsin until age 13.
