I give painting and drawing lessons from my studio in Lausanne, Switzerland. I have a BFA from the Washington University School of Fine Arts ( St.Louis, Mo.) and a MFA from Parsons School of Design ( NYC ) I currently teach a drawing course for Pepperdine University - Lausanne Campus. My focus is teaching students "how to see" and constructing images clearly on a 2D surface. The studio is centrally located with natural north light and can accommodate 1-3 students at a time. My specialty is oil painting but I am also deeply knowledgeable in watercolor, pastels, ink, charcoal, acrylic, conte-crayon, graphite.

The lessons, taught in English or Italian, are meant to help student from Primary school to High school in improving their skills and in reaching the grade they want. My method forces the student to think, not just memorizing a way to solve a problem, but understanding WHY you have to use this or that procedure.

The courses (homework help in all subjects up to the age of 12 or French courses for adults) are adapted to the needs of each student and are adapted to their profile. The success of my students is important to me so I am available even outside of class hours.
