Hi this is Saumya - I am passionate about teaching Korean language. I am a Topik level 4 certified Korean language enthusiast. I believe language learning should be fun and interactive, but at the same time conceptual and accurate. We can start with understanding the Korean alphabets, and move on to basic essential conversations and grammar. Starting with learning the right pronunciations and intonations, is the key to unlocking any new language. Course will include both reading, listening - understanding and writing, and include all course material. Dedication is key to learning any new language so I will encourage your participation, timely assignments and lots of brainstorming! So lets start learning!

I will guide you on how to pronounce them correctly, because good pronunciation is essential for learning any language. By starting with the fundamentals, we can make learning Korean easier and smoother. So, let's get started and master these important sounds together!

[Conversational Korean]
I am a big fan of Korean dramas, and I will use them as examples to show you how Korean is spoken in real life. This will help us develop a deeper understanding of the language and its nuances.

I will teach you how to speak Korean in both formal and informal settings, so that you can understand real Korean more effectively. My lessons are primarily designed for those who wish to improve their conversational Korean skills, and I will teach you how to speak in a fluent and natural way. Additionally, I will provide you with many expressions and phrases commonly used by native speakers to help you sound more like one.

1) Conversation-focused lessons:
The main reason for learning a foreign language is usually to communicate. Even students who had no prior knowledge of Korean can now converse exclusively in Korean with me. We practice forming natural sentences, slowly and at each student’s own pace.

2) Homework and assessments:
Without homework or tests, it is very difficult to make progress in a language. I assign homework tailored to each student’s level and pace, and give a small vocabulary quiz at the end of each chapter. (During very busy periods, the amount of homework is adjusted, so don’t worry!)

3) Culture:
Language is closely connected to culture. In my lessons, we cover various topics related to Korean society, culture, history, economy, and politics.
