Different methods are undertaken: grammar, dialogue, listening and reading exercises. I hold a Master degree in Philosophy and I have a long experience in teaching. About Me

My name is Matteo and I am an italian flutist, based in Brussels since 2010. I graduated at the Royal Conservatory in Brussels with Barthold Kuijken and Frank Theuns in the Baroque flute, and in Musicology at the Venice University "Ca' Foscari".

I hold a PhD degree in music performance at Cardiff University, School of Music.

From 2013 till 2015, I have been teaching at the Venice Conservatory "B. Marcello", giving yearly lectures and seminaries on the historical repertoire for the flute. Since 2021, I have been appointed music curator of Coudenberg Sound Box Fest, a music festival which aims at celebrating the Belgian music heritage and takes place every year at the beautiful archeological site of the former Royal Palace of Brussels.

I recorded for Warner Classics & Erato, and a soloist for Arcana/Outhere Music ('La solitude à deux. Solos and duets by G. P. Telemann' in 2018 and 'Affect is no Crime. New music for old instruments' in 2019).

I regularly play with leading ensembles and orchestras such as Millennium Orchestra (Leonardo Garcia Alarcon), Vox Luminis (Lionel Meunier), Les Muffatti (Peter van Heyghen), Coro & Orchestra Ghislieri (Giulio Prandi), Le Concert d'Anvers (Bart van Reyn), BachPlus (Bart Naessens), Collegium Ad Mosam (Huub Ehlen), Terra Nova Collective (Vlad Weverbergh), B.O.X. (Pieter Theuns), Silete Venti! Are you interested in learning or developing your flute skills? Are you a beginner or already advanced? Opening up to different repertoires and techniques? You need to integrate your flute class with strong discipline regarding rhythms and solfege? Then... what are you waiting for?

I offer lessons of flute and recorder in three languages (French, English & Italian). If you are a big fun of art noveau buildings you can come to my house in Schaerbeek. Or if you leave too far, I can come to your place.

Therefore, a phrase common in one group may have different connotations in another.

Not many Indonesians are able to speak English. Consequently, by learning how to speak Indonesian, you will be able to communicate with them more effectively. Whether you are on vacation in Bali or a business trip to Jakarta, knowing how to speak Indonesian will really add to and enrich your experience.

To practice, I offer private lessons: a caring and demanding framework that will allow me to adapt to your specific needs. Once you have understood your fears and learned to overcome them, speaking (in public, in meetings) may become a great source of pleasure!

In 2013, I completed my bachelor studies in Chinese language, culture and literature at the University of Belgrade. Since then, I have thought Chinese, English and Serbian to many different nationalities in Belgium, Ghana and Serbia.

As a successful teacher, I have two main goals:
- to teach a language (Serbian or Chinese) in a very creative way, meaning that it is my responsibility that my student, each session takes away, remembers 85% of the content.
- to teach culture in parallel so that student falls in love with the country and explores cultural differences between their own country and Serbian or / and Chinese culture.
