I provide practical, one-to-one training in Autodesk Inventor and Autodesk Vault, focused on helping students understand the software and apply it effectively to real engineering work.
The training can be adapted to your current level and objective. We can work through Autodesk Inventor concepts step by step, or take a completely hands-on approach where you create your own models while I guide you, identify issues, explain better methods and share practical modelling and engineering best practices.
For Autodesk Inventor, topics can include part modelling, assemblies, drawings, design intent, modelling strategies, constraints, parameters, design changes and general CAD best practices. If you already have experience with Inventor, we can focus on improving your modelling approach, solving specific problems or reviewing your existing work.
For Autodesk Vault, we can focus on understanding document and design data management, file organisation, versioning, revisions, check-in/check-out, working with CAD data and practical workflows for managing engineering files.
The lessons are not based on a fixed syllabus. I adapt each session to what you actually need to learn or solve. You can also bring your own model, exercise, project or specific problem and we can work through it together.
I have more than 14 years of experience working at the intersection of engineering, manufacturing, CAD, PDM and PLM, so the focus is not only on which button to click, but also on understanding why a particular approach is useful in an engineering environment.

For hands-on training, you must have access to your own laptop or desktop with the required Autodesk software installed before the lesson.
For Autodesk Inventor training, please make sure Inventor is installed and working before the session. The same applies to Autodesk Vault if Vault is part of your training.
The lesson is designed around your computer and your software environment, so I can guide you while you work rather than simply demonstrating the software.
### Online lessons
Online lessons are conducted as one-to-one sessions with screen sharing. You will work directly on your own computer while I guide you through the exercise, explain the concepts and provide feedback.
### At your location
For lessons at your location, you should have a suitable computer with the required Autodesk software installed and ready to use.
I offer in-person lessons within approximately 10 km of Utrecht Centraal, provided the location is reasonably accessible from Utrecht Centraal by bus, tram or bicycle. Please provide your location before booking so I can confirm accessibility and availability.
For locations outside this area, please contact me first to discuss availability and any additional travel requirements.

I have been working with engineering, CAD and product development technologies for more than 14 years, with a strong focus on Autodesk Inventor, engineering workflows and PDM/PLM. Over the years, I have worked with engineers, designers and technical teams to solve modelling problems, improve workflows and get better results from their engineering software.
My approach to teaching is practical. I don't believe in simply showing someone where a button is and asking them to repeat it. I prefer to understand what you are trying to achieve, let you work through it yourself, and then guide you when you get stuck or when there is a better way of doing something.
For Inventor, this can mean building a model together from scratch, reviewing a model you have already created, or working through a specific exercise or problem. I will explain the concepts behind the method and point out things that will make your models easier to modify, maintain and use later.
I am comfortable teaching beginners, but I also enjoy working with students who already have experience and want to improve their modelling approach or solve specific problems. You don't need to arrive with a perfectly defined learning plan. If you know what you are struggling with, we can start there and build the lesson around it.
I am a straightforward teacher. I will tell you when something can be improved, explain why, and show you a practical alternative. At the same time, I want you to do the work yourself because the objective is not for me to create the model for you — it is for you to become better at creating it.
The students I work best with are curious, willing to try things themselves and comfortable asking questions.
