I am a professional bassoonist and Principal Bassoon of Teatro La Fenice in Venice, with extensive experience performing and studying internationally. I hold music degrees from institutions in Italy, Switzerland, Germany and the United Kingdom, and have worked with leading orchestras and musicians across Europe.
My teaching is based on the same principles that guide my own professional work: a healthy and efficient technique, a beautiful and personal sound, musical awareness and confidence.
Lessons are fully tailored to each student. With beginners and amateur players, I focus on building solid fundamentals, enjoying the instrument and developing good habits from the very beginning. With more advanced students, we can work in depth on sound, intonation, articulation, phrasing, repertoire and orchestral playing.
I also offer specialised preparation for conservatory auditions, competitions, orchestra auditions and advanced repertoire, with particular attention to performance under pressure and the demands of professional orchestral playing.
Whatever your level or goal, my aim is to help you become a more confident, independent and expressive bassoonist.
