About Me

My experience living in Poland for over a year has enriched my understanding of diverse cultures and perspectives, further fueling my interest in British culture and literature. University of Warsaw / English Studies Master's Degree

I am interested in examining adaptations of Shakespearean works in literature, film, and other artistic mediums during the nineteenth century and beyond. By tracing the evolution of Shakespearean adaptations, I hope to gain insights into changing perceptions of Shakespeare, as well as the ways in which his works have been reinterpreted and repurposed to reflect contemporary concerns and ideologies.

In addition to studying Shakespeare's literary legacy, I am also interested in exploring the cultural and socio-political implications of his works, particularly in relation to themes such as power, gender, identity, and nationalism. By engaging with critical theories such as psychoanalysis and feminism, I seek to unpack the complexities of Shakespeare's texts and their relevance to contemporary discourses on identity, agency, and representation.

Overall, my MA subject of Shakespeare provides me with a rich and interdisciplinary framework through which to explore my broader interests in nineteenth-century British literature and culture, while also offering opportunities for critical inquiry and scholarly engagement across diverse fields of study.
