Psychology A Level Tutoring covering multiple exam boards

As a psychology graduate, I aim to make psychology exciting for A Level students. Psychology is vast subject, with so many different areas and approaches. This can make the subject daunting, but I think this is what makes psychology exciting; to understand how different approaches interlink to explain what makes us, us.

We can help understand and consolidate content. We will work on skills to revise A Level Psychology and reinforce strong study habits. We'll explore different methods to find out what works for you. We'll set small manageable deadlines, to turn a vast subject into small digestable chunks!

About Me

Hi, my name's Amanda.

I'm a psychology graduate from Lincoln. I spent a year Mentoring Sixth Form students in a Sixth form in East London.

I graduated with a First class Bsc Psychology degree in 2018, after tackling my degree with resilience and diligence.

When it comes to teaching, I am patient, calm and logical thinking, allowing the student and I to explore different options and revision strategies. I like my tutoring sessions to be student lead, so it's important to communicate with the student in order to maximise effective learning.

Madara
Doctor of Psychology based in London, UK, offering Psychology, Statistics, SPSS and Chess lessons online
I am a Doctor of Psychology and researcher. Since October 2016 I have been successfully tutoring many B.A. and M.A. and Ph.D. level students and professionals who required help with Psychology (AS, A-level, and Degree level), Data analysis, SPSS, jamovi, JASP, R, Statistics, Research Methods, or were looking for assistance with their research projects/ theses/ dissertations. I am specialised in Clinical Psychology (reading disability/ dyslexia), although I have good knowledge in other fields of psychology, as well as research methodology and data analysis (expert in SPSS). I would love to help students with the knowledge I have in individual live one-to-one sessions online via Skype/Zoom. I can also recommend literature on a particular subject and send something I already have in my database. Additionally to psychology, I am teaching chess. I have 28 years of experience playing chess, I am a candidate master of Latvia, having an international (FIDE) rating of 2063, and an English Chess Federation rating of 2125, which is quite a good level. I am especially good at blitz and rapid. My greatest achievement is 1st place in English Open Women & Girls Rapid Championship in 2019. I have around 8 years of experience teaching chess to juniors and adults. I have been tutoring many students across the UK and have helped them to progress in chess and some of them gained great achievements in the tournaments and were qualified for the next competitions. I can teach basic concepts, moves, strategies, and tactics for beginners and help to improve the game technique of intermediate or advanced players, suggesting theory, ideas, and winning game plans.

Melodia
Statistics for behavioral sciences: SPSS, scientific writing and reporting data
Hello! My name is Melodia and I am a Master's student in Erasmus University Rotterdam in the Netherlands. My field is research on clinical psychology, so I have done my fair share of statistical analysis and I am familiar with various tools like Programming with R, but my favorite one is by far SPSS. I remember myself struggling with the software when I had to do my first research, but once I realized the logic behind it, it became quite a fan experience! In my first classes I always assume that you know nothing about statistics so I take every concept step by step. I have a large collection of data and exercises for SPSS on various concepts including: ✅Descriptive Statistics (like statistical scales, mean, median, standard deviation...) ✅t-test ✅Correlations ✅ Regression Analysis - Multiple Regression Analysis, Moderation, Mediation ✅Factorial Analysis of variance: ANOVA, ANCOVA, ANOVA repeated measures, Mixed Models So, from simple statistical assignments to analyzing data for your thesis, I would be happy to help!

Music Lessons / Piano Lessons / Music Theory in Erpe-Mere (Burst)
I have been giving private music lessons and fortepiano for a long time. In addition to my classical music education in 2000, I obtained my bachelor's degree in psychopedagogy in 2006. This year I am interested in expanding my practice to include more students with special needs. I learned about the different ways music can help students with special needs. It helps them express their emotions and develop their memories and self-regulatory skills. It can show them strengths that they might not otherwise find during their school day. It can also open their eyes to a whole world of expression and beauty, enriching their lives. I find out what works for a particular student, what distracts them, what motivates them, what helps them focus and sometimes just learn how to relate to them. As a music teacher I enjoy working with the special needs students with autism and visual impairment

International Baccalaureate Programme Tutoring - IA, EE and subjects
Studying currently at Leiden University College, I realized taking the International Baccalaureate Programme (IB) not only prepared me for university but also equipped me with research and analysis skills, allowing me to be a better professional in the future. Nevertheless, I am aware that this programme is also extremely challenging, and most students, just as I did, need some guidance throughout the process. Here, I may come in to help you. During IB, some of the subjects I took were: 1) Psychology Standard Level (receiving 6 as my final examination grade) 2) Psychology Extended Essay (receiving A as my final examination grade) 3) English B Higher Level (receiving 7 as my final examination grade) 4) Polish A: Literature Standard Level (receiving 7 as my final examination grade) 4) Mathematics Analysis and Approaches Standard Level (receiving 6 as my final examination grade) 5) Biology Higher Level (receiving 5 as my final examination grade) 6) Theory of Knowledge Final Essay (receiving B as my final examination grade) I can be a mentor and serve as help for students writing their Internal Assessments in the subjects mentioned above, as well as when writing the Extended Essay in Psychology, or the Theory of Knowledge Essay. I may also tutor, in preparation for the exams, or to explain specific topics from: Psychology, Biology, Polish, English B, or Theory of Knowledge. I would also like to add that I lived in New Zealand for 6 years, and I am fluent in English. Please reach out if any further information is needed.

Visual Storytelling, From an idea to a script to an AV production
Stories are as old as we are, but if you want to put a story on paper or portray a story, it turns out to be more difficult than talking to your friends. How about now? Not what you tell, but HOW you tell it is the most important. The basics and how to use psychology to write a story, this is what you will learn anyway. Those who want to continue afterwards will learn how to write a script. Fiction or facts, you decide what you want to learn.

Learn PROBABILITY - In This FAR EASIER , VERY CLEAR WAY ! By James, BUSINESS & PROFESSIONAL International
EXPERIENCED TEACHER - I BEGAN TEACHING OVER 35 YEARS AGO ! HOME - SCHOOL - UNIVERSITY - BUSINESS ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Since c 2014, I naturally flowed into being able to make many students of EVEN LOW GRADES just aim successfully for TOP GRADES from the 1st day of my tuition if they will wholly follow my methodology properly. Eg * 7 A, A, A, A,A ,A & A* - By A BOTTOM Sets GCSE Boy - In 6 Months' Tuition ! * Within 7 to 31 days, they would be transformed by my 2 - point pedagogical learning method : 1 == I tell them what daily activities to remove and replace - so that their brains will not be lethargic nor lazy any more ; they will suddenly brighten up ! As I teach them how to not to waste their time writing poorly, but to invest their time to properly write in straight lines - using my James Writing Method - their handwriting improves extremely well once they remove the brain cognitive hindrances ! This is the reason why I CONFIDENTLY am able to change many students to aim for TOP GRADES from the 1st day of my tuition ! Testimony ------ One Luton GCSE girl was even HEALED OF CHRONIC MIGRAINE by following my advice on what to remove from her daily life and how to replace them with other wholesome activities. Her mental omissions also got HEALED. She, of course, began to learn far better within 4 weeks of following my directions properly. 2 == Coupled to removing mental cognitive hindrances, I use EASY WAYS TO TEACH MAKING UNDERSTANDING OF CONCEPTS far easier.

Talk about difficult situations in life/ Praten over lastige situaties in het leven
This is not a class, but an opportunity to discuss difficult situations in life. As a professional social worker I will provide you a listening ear, advise where possible and it's an opportunity to spar about certain situations. There will be no judgement and I'll be there to support you. I can't offer a one-size-fits-all solution, but this is meant to vent and to possibly see situations from a different perspective. Positivity and reality are very important to me and with that I will offer this meeting. This meeting is for everyone who just wants to talk! This meeting will be in English or Dutch, depends on the request, and online.

Undergraduate Psychology Tutoring from a Russell Group Teaching Associate
I am an experienced Psychology tutor, with a doctorate in Psychology, and teaching experience since 2015 across two Russell Group universities. Through Apprentus, I offer: - One-to-one tutorials across a wide range of topics in undergraduate psychology. - Assistance with essay and coursework writing skills. - Tutorials on how to run statistical tests and tackle practical reports. I currently teach on a research methods and statistics module, however, I have substantial experience in assigning, marking and moderating examinations, essays and research reports across many areas, including clinical psychology, developmental psychology, neuroscience, perception and statistics. This has given me a deep understanding on how to succeed across the whole spectrum of assessments in undergraduate psychology. I offer a particular focus on essay and practical report writing skills, as I am keenly aware of how integral these skills are to achieving a high grade at this level. Additionally, for anyone who is currently struggling to 'gain their footing' at university-level, we can spend time discussing exactly how to get to grips with your classes, course material, revision and assignments - "learning how to learn" is a vital building block for your university success. Psychology is a fascinatingly broad subject, and I will tailor my tutorials to suit your needs.
