I am a passionate teacher and I care for all my students. Learning mathematics is an emotional exercise. I always considered that being a good teacher is not only a mix of professional knowledge and skills, but also an ability to empathise and build relationships with the students. In all my teaching experience, whether at sixth grade or at college and graduate levels, I have found that instead of getting frustrated with my students’ knowledge gaps and misconceptions, I could make my teaching more satisfying and more effective, by recognizing that all the students have learning potential and intellectual curiosity and by encouraging them to get a deeper understanding of the mathematical concepts.
