Trusted teacher: I have a degree in Sociology and a degree in Early Childhood Education Teaching from the Complutense University of Madrid. I have worked teaching Spanish with students of different nationalities and different levels. I have lived in Poland for a year, and I have worked teaching Spanish, and in a school supporting teachers with children from 4 to 10 years old. We will work above all on conversation and listening, since it is the most fundamental base of a language. Depending on the level of each student, we will be doing exercises to learn Spanish vocabulary, verbs and their tenses. The pronunciation of all the sounds of the Spanish alphabet, through readings of different STORIES for children and adults, movies, board games such as ENREDOS, SCRABLE, etc. My work method consists of working on grammar, tenses and vocabulary, according to each one's level of Spanish, through art with stories and literature for several reasons: 1. They stimulate oral comprehension and pronunciation: the stories offer a context in which children can listen and understand the spoken language in a natural and authentic way. Also, by listening and repeating the words and phrases of the story, children can improve their pronunciation and intonation. 2. They help to expand vocabulary: they usually include a wide variety of words and expressions, which allows children to learn new vocabulary in a contextualized and meaningful way. 3. They develop reading comprehension: reading stories in the language that is being learned helps children develop reading comprehension skills. The stories are usually written in simple language and with a clear narrative structure, which makes it easier to understand and follow the story. 4. They encourage creativity and imagination: they offer a world of fantasy and creativity that stimulates children's imagination and helps them develop their critical and creative thinking skills. 5. They motivate learning: they are a playful and entertaining tool that motivates language learning in a natural and attractive way for children. This can help maintain their interest and motivation in the long run. They are classes for any age focused on losing the fear of being wrong to learn new knowledge with CONFIDENCE and CREATIVITY.

Trusted teacher: Hola amigos! My name is Kevin and I am a Business Administration professional with first-hand experience in tutoring foreign students from different nationalities. My linguistic spectrum consists of English, French and Spanish, which I master both orally and written. As a native Spanish speaker, I possess significant experience in the construction of argumentative texts and academic essays in Spanish. On the personal side, one of my greatest passions are philosophy and literature. As such, I am constantly reading and translating texts in order to increase and develop my language skills. Consequently, my work methodology is mostly focused on motivating the student to speak freely and to learn by acknowledging his/her mistakes. From the beginning, I will try to address the lessons 100% in Spanish, with the aim of familiarizing the ear to the pronunciation. In terms of written exercises, it is important to know what are the student’s learning priorities. When starting with the written part, it is important to know the student is dedicated to practicing and that he will also benefit from this in his future experiences. This is why the exercises will address current social problems that allow him to be fluent when he meets other Spanish speakers. In order for the student to learn as easily and efficiently as possible, homework exercises will be given after each lesson, drafted according to the parts that the students wishes to master best (speaking, reading, listening, writing). This way, the student will benefit from a fluid learning process and, with dedication, will be able to excel in Spanish in a short period of time.

I have taken weekly lessons with Lorena for six weeks so far and plan to continue several more weeks. I am preparing for a two month trip to Portugal and Spain, so I really wanted to work with someone living in Spain, since all of my language experience is in Latin America. We have been focusing on conversation completely in Spanish. Lorena is good at explaining things in Spanish and correcting my mistakes. She has helpful suggestions of websites and other resources. We talk a lot about places to travel and typical food in Spain. I highly recommend Lorena as a profesora excellente!
