That's why I design my lessons to not only improve your language skills but also to immerse you in the cultural contexts that shape the way people use language. My goal is to tailor each lesson to meet your individual needs, helping you discover the learning methods that work best for you while unlocking your full potential for communication and cultural understanding. Whether you're looking to improve your Spanish or English for personal, professional, or academic reasons, I'm here to guide you every step of the way. Let's make language learning an exciting journey of discovery! ------- Hello! My name is Lucía and I am a language teacher, translator and interpreter from English to Spanish, and social communicator. I teach Spanish or English lessons at all levels, both in person in the Madrid area and online. I have studied social communication and journalism, and I am certified as a teacher with CELTA through Cambridge University; all this, combined with years of experience as a teacher and interpreter, allows me to apply a variety and wealth of knowledge to my classes. As someone who has lived in many different countries and contexts, I firmly believe that the process of learning a language is about much more than memorizing grammar and vocabulary, it is about opening a window into the culture, history, and unique life perspective of its speakers. For this reason, I design my lessons not only with the aim of improving your language skills, but also to introduce you to the experience of immersing yourself in the cultural contexts that determine the way people use language in real life. My approach is to create and structure each class session according to your individual needs, helping you to try out and discover the learning methods that best suit your style, a key process to discover your potential for both cultural understanding and effective, fluent communication. Whether you want to improve your Spanish or English for personal, professional or academic reasons, I am here to accompany you every step of the way. Let's turn your language learning process into a journey of exciting discovery!

Trusted teacher: NL: Ik kan ook deze cursus in Engels (B2), Nederlands (B1) en Italiaans (B1) geven EN: I'm also able to teach this course in English (B2), Dutch (B1) and Italian (B1) -------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------- EN: My experience and skills are mainly focused on improving conversation, however we can see in detail the grammar if you are also interested in this aspect. What I propose is a set of exercises to practice your oral expression: -Free subjects or subjects of general interest: travel, leisure... or even more specialized themes such as politics, culture... -Vocabulary games: riddles, descriptions, construction of sentences, short stories ... whose words will serve as a basis for other exercises in future sessions to consolidate what has been seen and to measure your progress -Sketches: dramatizations of everyday situations or situations that make you or could make you uncomfortable in a foreign language (work interviews, shopping, making an appointment, procedures at the municipality, etc.) ). Here you will have the advantage of preparing yourself and having the situation under control with the support of the teacher. -Songs: we will go through vocabulary, grammar, accents, expressions, cultural aspects and anecdotes using songs that are part of Spanish-speaking musical culture (Latin America and Spain) Have you ever wanted to know what are the lyrics of a song in Spanish? This is your opportunity! -I also use the following games during lessons, but you can suggest others: tabú en español (taboo), story cubes, and other specific games for learning Spanish (board games for example) I can also help you develop a more formal vocabulary (argumentation, presentation...). You can obviously choose the subject but if you lack an idea I can always suggest one and from there work on vocabulary and pronunciation, which will be reviewed each week in order to consolidate your knowledge and measure your progress. At the end of each session you will receive feedback on the exercises and a few days later you will also receive corrections and notes. Do not hesitate to send me a message to find out more about my availability, choose an exercise or suggest one and any questions you may have. I am ready to move outside Brussels (Wallonia and Flanders); or in this case contact me for a suitable price, including transport costs. If it can make your life easier I speak fluent English (B2) and French (C1), but also Italian (B1) and Dutch (B1) - Classes at my place are possible from mid-December 2022, webcam rate

Verónica

rating green star
Our 7 year old son started much better with Verónica than with previous swimming instructors. Verónica made him highly focused for one hour but also served a good dose of amusement! She patiently corrected his technique, and well balanced the long 60 minutes pushing to his limits but without over-stressing. Full hope that our son catches up soon on the progress lost during last two years. He is highly motivated and looking forward to the next session. Adding to that, Verónica seems to be a pleasant, interesting, flexible and reliable person. I would recommend everybody to book an hour with her!

Very pleased with her teaching style and the topics/examples she selects. Great communication skills. I would definitely recommend Sara to anyone interested in learning English.
