My Ancient Greek class is fitting for learners at any level. Having studied Ancient Greek now for six years, not only in school but also at the Universities of Glasgow and Cambridge, I am extremely familiar with the language and its challenges. Using the Cambridge Reading Greek and Greek GCSE textbooks, adapted texts, and even "real" Greek literature where appropriate, I envisage Greek teaching and tutoring that focusses on the necessary aspects of grammar and rote language learning but supplements them with knowledge of Ancient Greek culture, history, and literature to make the language more alive and relevant. This course, divided into two different parts depending on the subject of interest (English or Greek/Ancient Greek), is for aspiring students to learn a language, support their arguments and express their ideas with clarity. The results of this effort are directed by the importance of communicating through language. The aim is to create a challenging learning environment, which will be anything but overwhelming. As a tutor, I specialise in the methodology of learning. My primary focus is on the ways through which students enjoy the learning process so that memorizing details and rules wouldn't be very difficult or uninspiring. Grammar is important, however, the method through which a student can get interested in it, is what matters the most. Homework will be assigned weekly, however, its role is of less importance compared to the actual attendance of the students during the course. Teamwork is the key to this beautiful door called 'learning a language'.

In this class we'll be studying philosophy, RE/RS, Ethics or English Literature. Together we'll work through some philosophy or literature texts, and develop skills for reading and writing intelligently about them. I have almost 4 years of experience tutoring A Level and GCSE students, helping them to approach exam questions by themselves and with confidence.
