1 art & music teacher in Renfrew

Trusted teacher: Hello, Let me introduce myself, Marylène, professional storyboarder, graduated in animation cinema. I offer serious drawing lessons adapted to the level of the student, from the beginner to the young professional through the animation student. During the first lesson, we will talk about the student's expectations and set the artistic objectives by defining a personalized program. I would assess the level of the student, his strengths and weaknesses for a tailor-made course, taking into account to nourish his universe and his sensitivities with a background both cultural and technical. I teach both the basics of solid drawing to beginners (perspective, proportion, composition, volume, anatomy, gesture, posing, principles of animation ...) as well as to students / future students in animation cinema, to young professionals who want to specialize in storyboard or who have questions about how to develop a TV pitch. For the storyboard part, my specialty, I will teach the basics of cinematographic language (types of framing, transitions, camera movement ...) and I will follow with basic exercises to be able to make parts of portfolio. Indeed, I can also support the student for the realization of a portfolio / demoreel for animation schools. I could guide him to feed and build his book taking into account the expectations of schools and studios. I travel to Lyon for a travel fee, and also give online lessons via Webcam and screen sharing on Skype. Students will have free follow-up by phone, email, whatapps or facebook as well as personalized feedback on the exercises. My teaching areas: - Academic drawing - Preparation for entry to art schools - Dynamic Posing / Gesture - Storyboard - 2D animation - Pitch TV series - Integration into the professional world (portfolio / demoreel / CV) French and English.

Trusted teacher: This class is for all music enthusiasts, whether you’re just getting started and need a solid foundation or already experienced and looking to level up. I'm a DJ and music production instructor with 15 years of experience, and the founder of DJ School Berlin. I also run my own label and organise events. My classes take place in a relaxed, intimate atmosphere, and are fully focused on your needs and goals. I teach both fundamental concepts and creative techniques, while supporting you in the development of your artistic project I also compose music for media (trailers, films, ads, games, etc) and perform live focusing on sound exploration and experimental performance. This means we can absolutely work on different musical genres or more unconventional, creative approaches. Passionate about dancefloor energy, it’s behind the decks and my machines that I feel most alive — and I truly love passing that on. I perform regularly in Berlin in clubs such as Watergate, Sisyphos, Hoppetosse, RSO, Golden Gate, etc., as well as abroad, most recently in Belgrade, London, Amsterdam, Paris, etc. Having worked in an artist management agency (Talent Scoot), I bring an added layer to the sessions — connecting technical skills with artistic vision, and helping you shape and push your artistic project forward --- Courses are available in English or French Sessions usually last 2 hours and can take place face-to-face or online, solo or in a group. . Group sessions (1-3) are friendly, less expensive, and more dynamic in terms of learning. Observing another student practicing, discussing techniques, or receiving feedback often leads to valuable insights. . One-on-one lessons are ideal if you prefer a personalised and efficient approach, fully adapted to your pace and goals. I'll give you the keys to: - Master the fundamentals of DJing on CDJs or vinyl - Develop your own sound and mixing style - Configure and fine-tune your DJ software (Rekordbox, Traktor) - Perfect beatmatching, phrasing, and harmonic mixing - Create smooth transitions and dynamic cuts for engaging sets - Understand track selection and crowd reading to build energy - Discover new music (digging) and organize your library efficiently - Prepare your sets and tracklists for gigs or recordings - Learn to record, edit, and share your mixes and podcasts - Understand sound systems and performance setups for live events I'll also accompany you and advise you on the purchase of your equipment. Classes take place either in my studio in Kreuzberg, equipped with 2 CDJs, 2 vinyl decks, a professional mixer, and a full sound system, or online with a new technic I developed for a immersive learning experience. Sessions are followed by review sheets and homework assignments. They are a mix of theory and practice, covering not just technical skills but also the artistic and performance aspects of DJing, with plenty of pro tips and creative insights to help you build your identity as a DJ. Don't hesitate to contact me for more information, I can send you a detailed document explaining all aspects of the training, the techniques covered, as well as the essential theoretical knowledge. You'll develop a complete understanding of the material, learn how to tell your musical story, create, record, finish, export and share your work. I am looking forward to playing music with you. I have had two lessons with Noemi and I am looking forward to many more. We spent a significant amount of time in the first lesson discussing and clarifying my goals as well as the artists I admire. She asked great questions, really digging into what I am seeking to do and be. I could tell right away that she wanted to understand my motivations and what I am looking for in a tutor. Noemi has been easy to talk to, open and responsive to my thoughts and concerns. She spoke to me as a peer, a fellow traveler seeking to understand more about art. I appreciate this, as it has not been my experience with other teachers. (They were not interested in what I already know). Noemi has been enthusiastic, insightful, intuitive and has set clear expectations. I appreciate the thoughtfulness she has put into creating follow up documents that detail what we reviewed in the previous lesson, including print screens of examples of art work to help me along. She is great!

Alexander

I had 5 lessons with Alexander to improve on my coloring and editing skills. On the first lesson, after going through the basics of coloring Alexander proposed a schedule for the next lessons which we then changed according to my needs, preferences and experience. I really appreciated this because I could raise question on issues and ask for tips on the project I was working on my own. Even outside of the lessons he replied to the questions I had. In the last lesson I finished my project. Partly due to the way Alexander sees editing as an art form which motivated me to finish it. He also gave valuable tips on how to get into the editing/coloring industry as a freelancer. Really enjoyed the lessons and might request more in the future! Thanks!

I have been taking vocal lessons with Lina for some time now, and I can definitely say she is a very professional and cultured teacher. I mostly appreciate her keen observation, which helps her make her classes tailored to your goals and needs. Lina is the type of teacher who inspires and empowers you to take control of your own learning journey, as she says, 'to become a teacher of your own.' Joyful and enthusiastic, with a very warm presence, she makes you walk out of her lesson equipped with clear goals, positive energy, and determination.
