Double Bass/Bass Guitar Lesson Double Bass/E-Bass LessonsTranslate this text using Google Translate.

--------------------------------ENGLISH BELOW---------------- - The double bass and electric bass are among the most important and versatile instruments in an ensemble, whether it is a funk, jazz, rock band or a classical orchestra. With me you can learn how to play the bass: from the most important basics, playing techniques, exercises and styles to the corresponding pieces and songs. Some of our goals could be technical preparation for playing certain pieces, playing in an ensemble, or just enjoying music. I studied double bass, instrumental and vocal pedagogy at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna and completed my master's degree at the Private University of Music and Art with honors. As an active musician and educator, I am versatile - I enjoy playing classical, jazz, funk and Latin music and teaching students who are interested in different styles of music. The double bass and the electric bass are among the most important and versatile instruments in an ensemble, regardless of the style – funk, jazz, rock band or a classical orchestra. Together we can learn the most important basics, playing techniques, exercises and of course, different styles, pieces and songs. Some of our goals could be the learning of a particular piece/song, the preparation for playing in an ensemble or just to have fun while playing. I have studied double bass-instrumental pedagogy at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna and received my Master's degree at the Music and Arts Private University with full marks. As an active musician and as a pedagogue, I open to different genres – I like to play classical, jazz, funk and Latin music and I enjoy a lot of teaching them. I am happy to hear from you!

Music Theory & Ear Training | Songwriting, Arrangement & (Home) Recording | Individual or duo lessons with group discount | Band coaching for popular music | Music University Theory Exam Preparation | On the bass, you accomplish heroic things in the background: Since the human ear organizes music from low to high, ... the bass determines how chords are heard. He is also the link between rhythm and harmonies in the ensemble. From this great power comes great responsibility! With me you will learn to deal with this responsibility. We play your favorite music and expand your musical horizons by promoting your expression, hearing and creativity. In addition, we work on your technique, rhythm, coordination, imagination and your musical knowledge, so that you can develop your musical skills more and more independently and more freely (with or without notes) step by step. I also teach electric guitar, piano and ukulele for beginners in a public music school. I am happy to pass on my experiences there in private lessons. I will put together an individual practice program for you and teach you your favorite songs.

Professional Bassist with 19 Years of Experience In Various Styles (Funk, R&B, Soul, Jazz, Rock, Alternative, Punk and more!)Translate this text using Google Translate.

Hi, my name is Jeremy and I've played music for 19 years, having performed over 200 concerts and composed with a wide variety of groups and ensembles across England and Belgium in many genres (Funk, R&B, Soul, Jazz, Rock, Alternative, Punk and more). I have completed 3 years of intensive bass study at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels and am currently playing bass plus backing-vocals and song arrangement for Kids of the Elephant and Arrubio. In these lessons, I will help you reach your goals while having fun in the process, keeping the lessons structured and tailored to your personal needs. I have 5 years of experience helping students improve as well as specialist knowledge in a multitude of styles. Some examples of what you might learn include: - Correct hand positioning & posture for best performance and faster learning. - Learning your favorite songs quickly and easily. - Breaking down rhythms & dynamics - Understanding the role of bass playing in a band. - Understanding what makes a good bassline and composing your own. - Essential music theory for bass & more advanced techniques (eg: melodic techniques, rhythmic, slap bass, etc) - How to improvise, jam and play with other musicians. Appropriate homework/exercises and recordings are provided during lessons. I also like to give advice and direction for people with musical aspirations. I'm also an empathetic person that loves teaching, so don't hesitate to get in touch if you have any questions.

Professional Bass Player With More Than 20 Years of Experience Offers Bass LessonsTranslate this text using Google Translate.

My teaching centers on giving students a clear sense of direction, not just isolated tips. In our first lesson, I like to lay out a loose roadmap of where we're headed over the next few months, so progress feels concrete and intentional rather than vague. From there, I adapt closely to each student's actual goals — whether that's developing groove and time feel, expanding jazz vocabulary and harmonic understanding, or applying music theory directly on the neck. Because my own background spans classical composition, jazz performance, and Ableton production, I teach bass and music production as genuinely connected skills. For bass students, this often means building technique and vocabulary while also understanding the harmonic role the bass plays in a piece — inversions, voice leading, and how a bassline shapes the music around it, not just what notes to play. For production students, I bring the same structured approach to Ableton workflow, arrangement, and sound design, always grounding technical tools in the musical decisions they're meant to serve. Above all, I aim to meet students where they are and give them a clear, achievable sense of what mastery looks like at each stage, so that every lesson builds visibly toward something larger.

After only a few lessons with Jeremy, I can say that he helped me progress more than I was able to achieve in 2 years trying to learn the bass through Youtube videos… He helped with the theoretical aspects as well as with my playing technique. He is very methodical and adapts to your needs and requests, and he also provided me with homework and very helpful tips and practice exercices. Highly recommended!

Good lessons, explains complex concepts well, and gives clear goals. A lot of knowledge of different music styles too, so lot of possibilities to learn if you like different music styles.

Very inspiring and interesting lesson. Tin is a patient and kind teacher helped me understand the basic knowledge to start quickly. I really enjoyed this lesson
