My sessions are creative and engaging, and I try everything I can to make them as enjoyable as possible. I am known to get very creative with my teaching methods. Book learner? No worries I have exam techniques and exam questions galore! Note packs and summary notes. Visual learner? Not a problem. I have diagrams, videos, and real-life examples. Still struggling? I will find a way. I have been known in the past to take bizarre paths to make things make sense, for example, my tutor friends mostly know me for my use of Minecraft to teach algebra! It is particularly popular with my autistic/ADHD students as it offers a visual :) Everyone is welcome! I have experience tutoring students with SEND needs, such as autism, ADHD, and dyslexia. For me it is important that the student really UNDERSTANDS the material WELL. So I will also ask a lot why the student gives a certain answer, whether it is a right or wrong answer. This teaches a student to reason his or her answers well and to think carefully about the answer given. The student also often corrects himself before I have said anything, if the answer was wrong. I also think it is important that the student does not dread the extra lessons, there should also be room for fun assignments, where the material is applied in a fun way. To achieve this, I sometimes try to come up with assignments myself, or find examples in the world around us that relate to the subject matter, in a more INTERESTING AND CHALLENGING FORM than in the book. The aim of this is for the student to enjoy the subject matter more.
