11 chemistry teachers in Birmingham

I taught in the UK from 2002 to 2007, initially as a supply teacher, then as a full-time teacher of Maths, Science and Chemistry and from 2007 to 2021 in Berlin Germany, teaching IB Chemistry, Science (MYP plus Berlin School Programme) to an age range of 11 to 19 years, and from 2021-date, focusing on online prep for students preparing for International Baccalaureate (IB) mock and May Exams vis-a-vis IB internal Assessment (IA). Over the past years I have worked hard at adapting my strategies for teaching to incorporate different ideas and ‘best practice’ highlighted in recent developments in Science education. I have attended Key courses as well as departmental sessions on identifying which National Curriculum levels students are functioning at and how to help them to progress in their learning. As a Science/Chemistry specialist, I have done all in my power to uphold students’ passion in the subject, and I have had a good number of my students expressing their gratitude. In 2009 I received the International Baccalaureate (IB) Chemistry Trained Teacher Certification and batches of IB Chemistry students have graduated successfully. My time as IB Chemistry(plus MYP and as online) teacher(2009-date) has produced Internal Moderated Assessment(IA) scores as high as 23 out of 24. I see myself as a very successful Science Teacher with very high hopes for the future. I am an enthusiastic teacher and I really enjoy trying out new ideas to help motivate and engage students and to help them to learn about Science. I believe that it is important that my students enjoy their lessons and feel able to participate, so I try to develop positive teacher-pupil relationships and use a range of strategies to enable them to interact both with their fellow students and with me.

Hi I am a Chemical Engineer and a dedicated teacher. I have been teaching since I was 21. I began preparing students for admission to the Faculty of Engineering and, after graduating, I formally trained as a teacher. Teaching is one of my greatest passions, and I especially enjoy being able to guide each student through their personal learning process. My main goal is to create a strong bond between teacher and student, based on trust, respect, and a desire to progress. I firmly believe that when there is a good connection, learning flows naturally. How are my classes? Sessions can be in-person or online. In the first part, we cover theory with clear examples, and in the second, we focus on intensive practice: we solve many exercises, including those with "traps" or details that often cause confusion. This allows you to consolidate your skills, reason in depth, and prepare for all types of assessments. I currently live in Marbella, where I work at an academy and also with my own students. Please note that I have limited availability, but I will do my best to accommodate your needs. Online classes include ongoing support, with specific times during the day when you can ask me questions via WhatsApp, in addition to what was covered in class. If you're looking to improve your math, physics, or chemistry (high school, Spanish secondary school, or general tutoring), don't hesitate to write to me. We can have a first meeting so you can get to know my teaching style and see if we're a good team! Are you up for it? Tell me about your needs and goals. I'll offer you all my support and energy to help you progress confidently (and pass the Spanish secondary school, of course!). Note: I do not offer a free trial class. Updated: May 2025 Subjects: Mathematics I and II, Mathematics Applied to Social Sciences, Statistics and Probability, Physics, and Chemistry. Level: Baccalaureate and preparation for the EBAU (Bachelor's Degree).
