🎶 Meet Valeria: Your Passionate Music Teacher! 🎶 Hi there! I'm Valeria, a 29-year-old music enthusiast with over 13 years of teaching experience 🎓. I’ve been sharing my love for music since I was 16, giving private lessons and teaching in various music schools. I’ve had the pleasure of working with students of all ages—from kids to adults—and each one has taught me something unique 🎵. Teaching is more than a job for me; it’s the best way to truly integrate all my knowledge while connecting with my students 🤝. I love helping others improve by putting myself in their shoes and understanding exactly what they need. For that one-on-one time, it’s all about focusing entirely on you, your goals, and your musical journey 🎼. I offer lessons in musical initiation, music theory, harmony, flute, and baroque traverso. Whether you want to jam out to the latest hits 🎤 or dive deep into ancient music treatises 📜, I’ve got you covered! Let’s make music learning fun and meaningful together! Looking forward to helping you make beautiful music! 🎶✨

My lesson will depend on each student's goal. If you are a student who wants to learn an instrument as a hobby and has never had contact with an instrument before, I will teach you the basics (from holding the violin and bow and playing easy tunes on the violin to teaching how to read notes and rhythms). If you are a student with years of experience and already know the basics, I can help you with the repertoire you are playing, or give you and prepare new pieces with you, I will help you improve your practice sessions and help you prepare auditions or performances. I give lessons in English or Portuguese but can also manage to speak Spanish

Music is a powerful tool to develop logical skills, mental resilience and sensibility, especially starting at a young age. The oboe is a wind instrument that allows one to finally perform in different types of ensembles. From orchestras to a soloist career, the oboe is a pristine instrument. It doesn't mean that you must aspire to become a professional to study with me. I will tailor the lesson according to my student's needs and work towards a goal that we commonly agree on. The most important thing is to enjoy making music and that we learn a lot from each other during the process.

The cello is an instrument that embodies both tradition and moderity. Music is a powerful tool. It brings people closer and allows you to express and experience things you probably never even imagined. I’m a violinist who just graduated from the Conservatory of Amsterdam, Under Eliot Lawson’s tutoring, and who now studies with Lisa Jacobs. I have a lot of experience teaching and performing in several countries around Europe. During my lessons, I hope to not only help you become a better violinist and overall musician, so I will not only give you musical and technical insight, but also a sprinkle of music theory.
