My name is Serdane and I offer English lessons to high school students and adults who find it difficult to develop a way of working that suits them. Extroverted and bubbly... and above all, full of humor! I believe that language learning is based above all on the development of an appropriate learning method. Some learn languages intuitively by engaging in conversations. Others, on the contrary, need rigorous exposure to grammatical concepts before launching into conversations. There are as many ways to learn as there are students... That's why I adapt my lessons to everyone's needs, and above all, I try to help each student discover what works for him, so that he can continue to progress independently. I've been teaching English to small children up to teenagers at École Française Internationale. I give lessons for beginners and intermediate levels. I mix between French and English so the pupil doesn't get too confused, but also allows them to understand every detail. For beginners, we usually talk about our surroundings, what's close to us and what affects us on a daily basis. (Numbers, directions, the weather, asking simple questions, what's a noun and pronoun and where to put them in a sentence). I like to find playful activities so that the pupil/student is in control of their work. It also stimulates their motivation. Of course, this is an example for a certain age group, but it also varies depending on their knowledge and their age. For intermediates, we make basic conversation. Ex: How do you go to school; What do you do in your free time? ; What's the weather like? The lessons depend on whether the student is learning for their personal knowledge or if it's for school. -------------------------------- The start of the course with a new learner consists of detecting their level by talking about their background, what they already know, what they must master in order to no longer have any gaps. The first lesson also allows the learner to get comfortable and get to know me to establish mutual trust. That’s why I use a touch of my British humor to achieve this. (I generally do this at the start of the lesson with my students to establish a good mood and they are always delighted!) To help the learner better engage with the learning, I will ask them what their passions/hobbies are, this who interests him to arouse interest in learning. I will adapt my lessons on subjects that speak to him more. Depending on age and level of knowledge of English, the method will vary. I play with songs if it's for vocabulary or accent, it helps me memorize better and what's better in song... Everyone listens to music! No matter the reason for the course, if it is to improve oral, written, reading or listening comprehension, I organize audio sessions, readings, everything necessary to deepen the language using the active pedagogy that I learned during my CAP training. I can play the news from the BBC news channel, the weather forecast, the trailer for a film. My goal is for the learner to evolve gradually with as few gaps as possible.

I offer my services to help your children achieve their academic goals, whether it is for the little ones who are discovering reading and writing, or for teenagers in the middle of preparing for exams. I also have experience with university students who needed a helping hand in certain subjects. Patient and attentive, I adapt to the specific needs of each student, offering them personalized support to help them progress at their own pace and with confidence. In terms of education, I followed a Preparatory Class for the Grandes Écoles in France (literature, philosophy, history, geography and languages), and obtained a bachelor's degree in English Language, Literature and Civilization. I then continued with a master's degree in British and American translation and civilization. I had the chance to work for two years at the Lycée Français Jean Monnet in Brussels, where I acquired solid experience with students of all ages and a good understanding of the expectations of the school system. I would be happy to discuss this with you and see how I can contribute to its success.

Method adapted to the needs of the student. Different "tools" will be used (videos, exercises, scenarios ...). The emphasis will be on practice and orality (importance of the accent to express yourself well and be understood). I guarantee we shall have a jolly good time!

I currently work as a private language teacher in Belgium and I have a good level of English. As I am not a native speaker, I do not give advanced lessons. People from any age, including kids, can follow my English lessons for levels A1, A2 and B1.

My name is Guy, and I am a Brit/Belgian currently living near Mérode in Etterbeek, Brussels. I can offer beginner/intermediate/advanced classes, conversation classes, and can help students pass their English language exams. I am happy to do it online, at your place, or at my place. It's never too soon or late to learn or improve your English skills which is why I'm available for all age ranges. I will be available as of 25 February 2025 to give lessons to you or your children. I have taught English before to Italian and Belgian children (aged 7-12) which has vastly improved their writing and oral skills at school. Some were complete beginners, some had trouble with pronunciation, and were always grateful for the help I gave them. A little bit about myself: I am 31 years old, bilingual (English and French), speak Italian, some Dutch, and I'm currently studying Slovenian at the ULB in Brussels. I play a bit of saxophone too!

I have a degree from Cambridge University, so you will learn classical English and not dialectic. In the first lesson we will discuss the book that we will use, which depends on your requirements and your level.

With over 5 years of experience as a Spanish teacher in secondary schools and colleges in Brussels and London. I also work as a personal Spanish tutor with students of all ages. I love teaching Spanish and I will plan the lessons depending on your goal, level, and pace.

I come from Mexico where I studied in English most of my life I am a native English/Spanish speaker, I have been living in Brussels for 6 years, I had to learn French on my own, because of this I know the struggle of learning a new language, so I will help you not to make the same mistakes as I did, I believe that the most important part about learning anything is to be motivated and to like it, therefore my classes are dynamical and fun, without losing it's main purpose, making you speak it like a boss!
