About Me

Originally from the Paris region, I have lived in Lausanne for ten years.

Coming originally to Switzerland for my studies at the Haute Ecole de Musique in the Jazz department, I quickly liked it and decided to stay there. I have a master's degree in instrumental performance and am in the process of finishing a second in instrumental pedagogy (2021)

I give drums lessons in a beautiful studio in Lausanne or at home for all levels ranging from beginners to advanced levels.

The idea is to make you move forward as you wish and approach the instrument with pleasure and philosophy.

The 5 string banjo is an amazing instrument. It's driving trademark sound and it's African roots has contributed to many music traditions, including Country, Bluegrass, Blues, Jazz and world music.

In my class you'll first learn the basics, how to hold and pick and read tablatures. We'll then go through how to play a tune, accompany other instruments and finally, improvise. During the year I'll teach you basic music theory like rhythm, harmony and a bit of ear training to help you develop your understanding and relationship to the instrument.

We'll mainly play Bluegrass Scruggs style at first, then we'll dive into melodic style and sigle string, that will all be useful for playing other kinds of music, like Irish music, Pop, Jazz or Blues. A graduate of the Paris Conservatory, I had the chance to work alongside many exciting pianists and teachers, such as Denis Pascal, Pascal Amoyel, Rena Shereshevskaya and in improvised music Paul Lay and Emil Spányi, who were able, throughout my career, to bring me into musical research and maintain this taste for the instrument.

Being attracted by musical creation, as well as composition, I was also able to study harmony, arrangement, music theory and composition at the Rueil-Malmaison conservatory in the Paris region.

Alongside my musical projects as a classical and jazz pianist and musical composition, I devote myself to my passion for educational transmission.

Currently in a dual Master's degree program in classical and jazz pedagogy at the HEMU in Lausanne, I am looking for two students (one in classical saxophone and one in jazz saxophone, from beginner to intermediate/advanced level) for my didactics courses.
