Cambridge IGCSE Mathematics and Physics, one-to-one, from a tutor who has taught the IB since 2016 — so the algebra, the reasoning and the exam pace the IB Diploma will assume are built now, not discovered in DP1.

IGCSE Mathematics: 0580 (Core and Extended), International Mathematics 0607 and Additional Mathematics 0606 — algebra fluency first, the bridge into IB Math AA and AI.

IGCSE Physics 0625, Core and Extended: all six topics — motion, forces and energy; thermal physics; waves; electricity and magnetism; nuclear physics; space physics — and the practical paper (Paper 5 or 6), with the maths inside the physics made fluent: rearranging formulas, units, graphs and gradients.

How I teach: I find the exact step where your child's reasoning breaks — often a topic or two behind the class — rebuild from there, then train exam technique on real past papers. Core or Extended entry caps the grade before the exam: I'll give you an honest view before it is confirmed. One student started with me on IGCSE International Mathematics 0607 and continued through IB Physics HL.

Je travaille depuis 6 ans maintenant avec des enfants d'écoles internationales qui « détestaient » les mathématiques parce que les méthodes utilisées par leurs professeurs de l'IB étaient trop compliquées et difficiles à comprendre.

Je crois que personne n'est "pas mathématicien", il faut juste trouver le moyen d'aborder le sujet ensemble ; J'ai en effet quelques méthodes d'enseignement qui peuvent être adaptées aux besoins d'un enfant, je crois que chaque enfant a besoin d'une méthode différente pour bien comprendre le sujet.

Je dispense 3 types de cours qui représentent 3 phases :
1. THÉORIE - Comprendre la théorie derrière les exercices, cette phase est la plus courte car je pense que pour bien comprendre les mathématiques, il faut faire de l'exercice.
2. EXERCICES - Faire des exercices répartis par sujet we. vient de passer dans la partie théorique.
3. PAST PAPERS - Passer par des papiers passés pour "simuler" un examen potentiel.

La division du processus en 3 phases s'est avérée vraiment efficace pour réussir non seulement pendant l'année mais aussi aux examens finaux.

Currently I work as a math teacher in an international school. I’ve been teaching and tutoring math for more than 7 years, starting back when I was studying Civil Engineering for my bachelor’s degree. Over time, I realized that teaching math is what I truly enjoy, and it has become my main focus.

My approach is straightforward: I make sure students really understand the basics first, because that’s the key to handling more difficult topics later on. I’ve seen how much confidence this gives students, and it’s something I always try to build in my lessons.

When I interviewed with Optiver, Flow Traders, DRW, Maven Securities and All Options, I prepared seriously. At my desk I could solve the probability questions and the mental maths without much trouble. In the real interview, with someone watching and the clock running, I got nervous and made mistakes I normally wouldn't. Looking back, what I needed wasn't more theory. I needed practice under real conditions, with someone telling me exactly where I went wrong.

That's what these sessions are for.

Each session is a mock interview in the style used by the major market making firms, followed by detailed feedback. We work on:

Mental maths under time pressure
Probability and expected value questions
Market making games: quoting a two-sided market, updating as new information arrives, managing your position
Betting and decision games
Estimation questions
Explaining your reasoning out loud, clearly and calmly
Behavioural questions like "why trading?" and "why this firm?"

How a session works

A short warm-up, then a mock interview at real pace. After that we go through it together: where you lost time, where your reasoning wasn't clear, how you handled pressure, and what to drill before the next session. You leave with a concrete list of things to work on, not just a score.
