Trusted teacher: Give your child the future he deserves. Double-degree from Arts et Métiers ParisTech and Centralesupelec / Scientific Baccalaureat with Very Good / 20/20 in mathematics / MPSI / MP preparatory class * / 5 years of tutoring experience / more than 30 regular students + volunteer in associations of homework help for pupils in great difficulty Do you want to significantly increase your child's mathematical average? Do you want it to integrate a selective course? Do you want it to become autonomous? For 5 years, I have helped more than 30 French students in difficulty from middle school (sixth, fifth, fourth, third) and high school (second, first, final) to achieve their goals (good average, patent, bac, PREPA) and to regain self-confidence. My method in 3 points: - in the short term, significantly increase the average by assimilating the course and preparing for the next tests (assimilating the course, writing files, practicing standard exercises, anticipating the teacher's expectations and test questions, having methods of writing) - in the medium term, integrate reasoning and work methods (learn to work regularly in this order: assimilation, training exercise, preparation for the test and analysis of the pass test) - in the long term, set a goal, build the steps to reach this goal, become aware of the SIMPLICITY of math, have confidence in your abilities, release your potential) The formula: a course of 1h30 / 2h * per week for the assimilation of the current chapter + a course before the test * I recommend two courses for those brought up in preparatory class # 1: The first class is a test class # 2: I come to your home # 3: Your child can contact me whenever they want If you want to increase your child's math results, contact me before the next test!

Julien - London£50
Trusted teacher: Dear student, I am a chemist graduated from EPFL (Swiss Federal Institute of Technology). Always fascinated by science, I now hold a doctorate in solid-state physics from the University of Geneva. Science subjects can help you pass exams. I have been teaching these disciplines for many years during exercise sessions held at the University as well as in private lessons given as an independent. For this reason, you will have the possibility to ask me for explanations on any subject. It is indeed useful that you can progress on the basis of what you already know. You will of course have the choice to ask me for remedial lessons to revise or discover entire chapters. Before the first lesson starts, I will invite you to explain your situation to me freely and free of charge so that we can work effectively from the first lesson. All scientific subjects have in common a method that is called "scientific logic". Whenever the opportunity arises, I will offer you elements of this method because it is this method that will allow you to understand durably and to solve the exercises rigorously. Your studies are serious business, demand that you be taken seriously. Best regards Julien

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFY MATHS TEACHER (HEAD OF MATHS) I have great experience teaching and tutoring Maths and French in the UK and abroad. I am able to teach mathematics up to GCSE level. I have been teaching maths to GCSE standard for five years now. I know exactly what is included in the new GCSE specifications. My role as an assistant Head of maths department has definitely given me the opportunity to write schemes of learning for year 11. As a result, I know how to break down topics in order to help your child to meet or exceed their targets. Some success stories Student A This is a young girl that had grade 2 before I started tutoring her. I helped her building her confidence, showed her exam tips, how to revise and more importantly how marks are allocated for every questions. She was really happy when she opened her GCSE letter and realised that she got 4. Student B This lovely year 11 boy was a grade 5 student in maths, after working really hard with him, doing exam papers every week, giving him challenged questions he did extremely well and achieved a grade 7 maths. His grade then allowed him to confirm his place in a Grammar school in Kent. I am also trained to teach/tutor mathematics using mathematics mastery. This is a program designed to help students conceptualise and understand the reason why we are studying mathematics. This program follows a CPA approach (Concrete Pictorial Abstract). For every topic that I teach/tutor, I always bring maths alive by taking real life examples. These help students understand the concept. For instance: Calculating with negative numbers is a topic that most student find difficult in maths. even those that get it might not be able to explain the reason why -4 + 8 = 4. when teaching this topic, I like using oyster cards, bank account or the weather as an example. `if I have -4 pound in my oyster card what does it mean? ` Now I top up 8 pounds what will my new balance be? This was just an example of how to link mathematics to real life situations. I can teach/tutor students with different abilities this include higher, middle and lower set. It is never too late to start, if you are looking for someone that can help your child achieve or exceed their target grade do not hesitate to get in contact with me. Thank you
Christiane - London£21
Trusted teacher: I give remote math lessons, in French, by shared interactive board for high school and high school students. I am an architect civil engineer and I have been teaching for 8 years. The most important thing for me is to personalize the lessons, to guide the student so that he understands the subject by himself, so that he manages to organize his work, to structure his reasoning, to manage his time, to manage his stress and finally to gain confidence in him. All this is done by adapting the course to its type of learning, putting all our energy to target and overcome blockages, and finally achieve autonomy. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to write me, I will be happy to answer you as soon as possible.

Trusted teacher: I would like to help with middle school and high school level (GCSE, A-levels and IB) mathematics and physics tutorials. I am happy to provide full lectures with solved examples, help with homework, give feedback and answer student's questions on the school syllabus or even beyond the syllabus, when I can be of assistance. Before beginning regular sessions with students I would like to have a casual meeting with them in which I could familiarise myself with their situation and their needs and we would get to know each other. From 1st October I'll be resident in Cambridge (as I am commencing my master's in Applied Mathematics at the University of Cambridge) and I'll be happy to tutor students in the Cambridge area in person. Whenever in-person sessions are not possible, we can also work online.
