Perfectly bilingual with 6 years of experience - Dutch - BrusselsTranslate this text using Google Translate.

My name is Ségolène (26 years old). I have a double degree from KULeuven with a Master of Business Administration (NL/EN) as well as the agrégation (Educatieve Master). I worked for 2 years in insurance and currently work at Odoo. My mother tongue is French, but from a very young age, I was educated in Dutch, which allowed me to become perfectly bilingual. I love supporting my students and seeing them progress. I offer academic support in any subject but also to help them learn how to learn, become better organized, and gain confidence. MY EXPERIENCE : I helped several students to pass the CE1D exam in Dutch (written, oral, listening comprehension). In addition, I also assisted students with their homework and for various subjects at secondary level (Maths, Handel (commerce), Sciences: WO, NW...). Finally, it is also possible for younger children to learn Dutch in a fun way (language games, educational games). During a test carried out on the CLL site to assess my level (A1, A2, B1, B2, C1 or C2), I obtained the result C2: "The student expresses himself appropriately in n' any situation, by dominating the linguistic and cultural elements proper to a native speaker and by knowing how to distinguish shades of meaning."

Cours particulier d'anglais/néerlandais débutant·e,s intermédiaires ou avancé·esTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Hi there! I'm Lynn, a languages and all culture-related enthusiast with a particularly keen interest in singing, storytelling and transdisciplinary art. Which in turn led me to be a freshly graduated Master-student in Performing Arts, with a Bachelor's degree in Modern Languages and Letters where I primarily studied English as well as Russian linguistics and literature, along with a Dutch minor. These university years gave me the opportunity amongst others to learn more in-depth about the subjects I was most passionate about during my Art Humanities, i.e. performance studies, philosophy, art - and cultural history, as well as literary/critical analysis of various different artforms. Brought up bilingual (French-Dutch) from earliest infancy, I very early came to realise the many possibilities and encounters this opened up, which encouraged me to continue down this path of language learning and intercultural communication. At first, I was incredibly fortunate to benefit from the work of a truly invested and passionate English teacher during the scope of my humanities and to acknowledge all of the difference that it makes when learning a foreign language. Subsequently, prior to my studies I got the chance to travel to Ireland for a year during which I mainly worked as an au pair. This not only took my English to the next level, but also sharpened my childcare skills and pedagogical abilities. Now that I've completed my studies and am opening up a new chapter of my working-life, I'm very excited to put all of this baggage to work along with you! I wholeheartedly believe in the power of play and sharing fun, artistic and/or meaningful activities which help put things into practice in order to learn a new language in a lively, profound and sustainable way. So, what do you think? Care to invite me aboard your learning journey?~ ⛵🗺️✨

We focused the lessons on learning communication, rather than studying the language. We add the things we practice to a document, and he sends it at the end of the class. Even though I started from zero, he's been quite patient and kind. And by now, zero-stress with grammar/theory. After a month, I am starting to be able to have a simple conversation at a store without barely help of another language, and I am taking a liking of Dutch.

Marcel is a patient and calm teacher who is enjoyable to work with. I signed up for 10 lessons over the summer while recovering from surgery and I learned more Dutch than I thought I would. I am no longer intimated by the language! While I cannot continue at the same pace now that I am back at work, I owe a debt of thanks to Marcel for starting the journey.

Evelien is great in teaching and explaining. She spontaneously elaborated and adapted our classes wether prepared or unexpected whenever I had questions about any topic in Nederlands. She monitored my my learning continuously. I totally recommend her.
