Hello, everyone! My name is Edoardo. I received my master's degree in International Finance and Economic Development from the University of Kent, and I have experience in business intelligence consultancy and sales & marketing. I taught as a private tutor for five years in subjects such as economics, maths, Italian, English, and guitar to middle school, high school, and university students. I tutor students at all levels of education (including Primary, KS3, IB, GCSE, A-level, and Undergraduate Degree) and adults. My teaching is results-oriented and focuses towards a precise goal (such as an exam), but I am also very keen on making people passionate about their studies. I would be delighted to answer any questions and offer clarification outside of lessons' time too. If you are looking for a professional, dedicated, and friendly teacher, I am the one for you! See you soon!
Trusted teacher: I am a postgraduate (MSc) economics student based in Kingston, a native French and German speaker from the G-D of Luxembourg. I am a passionate and patient polyglot tutor dedicated to helping students. Classes I tutor: German and French primary education and secondary education and economics related topics for secondary education and higher education. Furthermore specific tutoring for accounting and Dactylography (10 finger keyboard typing) My first priority is to make sure that scholars have a clear understanding of the core skills needed to satisfy the requirements of the exam methodology. Fundamental requirements for French, German and other essay subjects, these include: - a solid understanding of how to argue coherently and use evidence convincingly; - a good command of grammar and syntax; - confident use of a diverse and technical vocabulary; - the ability to plan, structure, and write essays that score high marks efficiently. Maths, Economics: I teach Mathematics and Economics to GCSE and A-level students. Since this year there will not be any exams I would like to help students target their weakest areas and strengthen their overall and in depth understanding of those subjects. This will benefit them tremendously later on when the difficulty of the material increases and requires more profound understanding. At times like this it can be a challenge to keep students mentally stimulated. At the same time due to the amount of time available it is a unique opportunity to greatly improve their knowledge and understanding before they move onto the next stage of their education.

I specialise in tutoring Economics and Mathematics at all school level exams. My goal goes beyond help students to achieve higher grades and in the process make it more enjoyable. I specialised in Economics and Mathematics at the University of Cambridge, achieving a 2:1 in my degree. I achieved 10A*s & 1A at GCSE level and 3A*s & 1A at A Level (Mathematics (A*), Further Mathematics (A*), Economics (A*) & Geography (A)). Despite this success I really struggled with academia prior to my GCSEs and absolutely hated revision/exams! I think this view was compounded by my dyslexia. However my track record shows that I have been able to overcome these challenges through what I think is a really effective learning method! During sessions I will work through the theory, ensuring that it is well understood. Following the sessions I will assign homework, which will be used to map progress. I also want to actively engage in the students lives, as I provide mentorship!

I believe STEM subjects like maths need to be taught from the bottom up - if you don't know the absolute basics, somewhere along the line you're going to get really confused even if you generally know what's going on. Eventually you'll reach a problem which doesn't make any sense - I remember when learning matrices for the first time in A-Level I had to revise some of the most basic GCSE maths notation to do with brackets (parentheses) - something I hadn't revised since year 11. Once there is a basic level of understanding established, I can work up from there, and see which learning strategies better suit each student depending on their interest. I tend to lose focus when I'm less interested in something, so my aim is to try and not make anything seem boring, with minimal impact on what I'm teaching.

I like to structure my teaching lessons differently from most. I cater directly to the student and I realize that everyone is different. Some children will be seriously struggling with their subjects and will need me to focus on the basics and build up a foundation, whereas others will already be working at a good level and just need an extra push to get them to their goal. Whether a student is shy, unorganized, confident or even overconfident, my teaching style will be catered to them.
