My lessons are designed for students who want to understand economic ideas, business concepts and accounting calculations clearly, while also improving their exam technique and confidence. ➤ GCSE, IGCSE, A-LEVEL & IB SUPPORT With many years of teaching experience, I support students preparing for GCSE, IGCSE, A-Level, International A-Level and the IB Diploma Programme. I especially support students in: → Economics → Business Studies → Accounting → Business Mathematics → Financial calculations in Accounting and Business → Data interpretation in Economics and Business I also prepare students for major UK and international exam boards, including: → Cambridge International → Pearson Edexcel → AQA → OCR → IB Diploma Programme ➤ TOPICS I HELP STUDENTS MASTER I support students with important Economics, Business and Accounting topics such as: → Supply and demand → Market structures → Inflation, interest rates and exchange rates → Business objectives and strategy → Marketing and market research → Human resources and operations → Cash flow forecasts → Break-even analysis → Revenue, costs and profit → Profit and loss accounts → Balance sheets → Financial statements → Financial ratios → Sources of finance → Budgeting and business planning → Case-study exam questions ➤ CLEAR, STRUCTURED & EXAM-FOCUSED LESSONS My lessons are clear, structured and strongly focused on exam success. I want every student to feel more confident when working with economic diagrams, business case studies, accounting statements, financial calculations and longer written exam questions. With the right structure, clear explanations and regular exam-style practice, students can make real progress and approach their exams with much more confidence.

Trusted teacher: Hey there! I’m Maaz, a passionate and dedicated maths tutor who genuinely enjoys helping students feel more confident with mathematics. Maths was always one of the subjects I enjoyed most because I liked the logic behind it — once you understand the steps, even difficult questions start to feel manageable. That is the same feeling I try to give my students. I know maths can sometimes feel stressful or confusing, especially when topics move too quickly in class, so my aim is to slow things down, explain concepts clearly, and make sure the student feels comfortable asking questions. I specialise in helping students with topics such as algebra, geometry, trigonometry, calculus, problem-solving, and exam preparation. My teaching style is patient, friendly, and personalised to each student’s level. I do not believe in simply rushing through questions; I focus on helping students understand the “why” behind each method so they can apply it confidently in exams. What makes my lessons personal is that I try to understand each student’s strengths, weaknesses, and learning style. Some students need help with basics, some need exam technique, and others simply need confidence. I adapt each session accordingly and create a supportive space where mistakes are treated as part of learning. Whether you are struggling with maths, aiming for higher grades, or just want someone to guide you step by step, I would be happy to help. Let’s work together to make maths simpler, clearer, and more enjoyable. I look forward to supporting you on your learning journey!

Understanding and patient Economics tutor I’m a graduate in Accounting and Finance from the University Of Warwick with wide experience tutoring maths, economics and sciences, particularly physics. I have done both the old style exams and the new ones, which puts me in a good position to help all students and apply the best resources to their revision for their specific exam. To me, defeating any tricky exam is a process of a few steps: Know the facts. This is the first and most obvious step in doing well. Factual recall is the basis of getting good marks. This can often be difficult, but breaking it down into smaller chunks, and being "smart" about revision can make a topic list much more approachable! Apply the understanding. This is particularly important in sciences and tricky maths! Practice makes perfect, but it has to be the right type! An understanding of where the marks are allocated can make this much easier. Play the game? Exams to me represent not just a factual recall or knowledge application test, but a strategic challenge where tactics, organisation and creative, targeted revision are rewarded. Strategically approaching exams with an eye to exam technique and ‘playing the mark scheme’ has always helped me get the best results. Coursework can be a great way to make life easier when it comes to exams, if you`ve got it. A good coursework grade can give so much extra breathing room for the actual papers. I have wide experience teaching GCSE maths, science and economics. At A level I can teach maths, economics and physics and beyond this, accounting, finance or economics. I have tutored students for 5 years through the national schools programme and through private/group lessons too. With over 1000 hours of lessons taught, I believe I can make a real difference to any student's learning. Thanks for visiting my profile and reach out if I can be of help!

You already know a lot more about economics than you might imagine. Each day, you make economic decisions, such as choosing between two teachers at Apprentus. You also come to class with years of experience in Economic matters. If you are in the UK and are 14+ years old, you might have worked part-time before and therefore supplied your labour. Supply of labour is an important concept that you might have heard of or learnt about. Do not worry if it is new to you - you may study it if you take this class. But as you may have realized, it is something related to work, so if you have worked before, you know it already. Given students' prior experiences, I teach through examples that draw on these experiences. These examples build bridges from the familiar to the unfamiliar. Through this approach to teaching, I became one of the sought-after Economics tutors in my previous schools, where I worked with students at Key Stages 4 and 5, fostering in them a love for Economics. I bring a well-rounded understanding of AQA AS/A level and GCSE Economics Specifications and familiarity with the following textbooks: 1. Powell, James., Powell, Ray., & Horner, David. (2023). AQA A-Level Economics (5th ed.). Hodder Education Group (AQA Approved) 2. McEachern, W. A. . (2006). Economics: a contemporary introduction (7th ed.). Thomson/South-Western. Though the course is designed to help learners studying AQA GCSE or A Level Economics, it is appropriate for learners studying other specifications such as ORC Economics and all lovers of the subjects.

Nick's approach is patient and thorough, informative and imaginative as well. He always comes up with his own examples in order to test my knowledge on a given exercise and helps me get to the answer at my own pace, rather than handing it to me. He doesn't use a one-size-fits-all method, but rather tailors his lesson in order to get out my full potential, even in a field I find difficult. He makes himself available for additional questions and is overall great to work with!

My son had his first lesson with David last night. The first thing my son said was ́ómg he knows his stuff ́ ́... I am really impressed that David took the time to to ask my son quite a number of questions so he could gauge the level and the gaps in my son’s learning. It was only one lesson but i am super happy to have found David. my sons reaction tells me that this will be a very important part of his learning..
