I am an experienced and certified mathematics tutor specializing in a range of curriculums, including AS and A-Levels, IGCSE, GCSE, SATs, Edexcel, and the International Baccalaureate (IB). With a proven track record of guiding students to success in these rigorous exams, I understand the unique challenges each curriculum presents. My approach is designed to meet each student's individual needs and learning style, ensuring that they receive the tailored support necessary to excel. Mathematics can often seem daunting, but my goal is to help students build a deep understanding of mathematical concepts. I believe that a solid foundation in the basics is crucial, and I work to ensure that students grasp fundamental principles before moving on to more complex topics. This method not only boosts their confidence but also prepares them for advanced problem-solving scenarios. I utilize a variety of teaching methods, from visual aids to interactive exercises, to cater to different learning styles and make the subject more relatable. In my sessions, I focus on developing effective problem-solving strategies. I guide students through step-by-step processes for tackling various types of mathematical problems, helping them to analyze questions critically and approach solutions systematically. This analytical skill is invaluable, not just for exams, but for future academic pursuits and real-world applications. I encourage students to ask questions and engage in discussions, as this fosters a deeper understanding of the material. I also recognize that exam preparation involves more than just understanding the content; it requires familiarity with the exam format and types of questions they will encounter. I provide targeted practice using past papers and mock exams, which allows students to hone their test-taking skills and time management. This practice is essential for building the resilience and confidence needed to perform well under exam conditions. Whether you're looking for support with fundamental concepts or advanced topics, I am here to provide clear explanations and structured guidance. My lessons are designed to be engaging and interactive, ensuring that students remain motivated and focused. Are you drowning in countless formulas? Is your head starting to explode with equations and graphs? Don't panic! Math doesn't have to be a stumbling block. With the right explanation and a calm approach, it often becomes much clearer. Together, we'll tackle it step by step, at your pace. For whom? - Students from primary and secondary education - Children and young people preparing for exams or tests - Anyone who wants to give mathematics a second chance, including adults What can you expect? - I explain the often complicated mathematical language in clear, human language - Focus on insight, not just learning tricks and formulas by heart - Exercises that we tackle together - Space for questions, repetition and building self-confidence About me I'm currently pursuing my Master's degree in Data Science/Analytics at the University of Antwerp. In high school, I had seven hours of math a week and always passed my exams with high marks. I've been happily tutoring students of various levels for several years now. I'm analytical, but also calm, patient, and good at sensing exactly where things are going wrong. Practical: - 1-on-1 lessons, online, at my place or at yours (if you don't live too far away) - We will go through your material together or I will provide my own material - Your own pace and approach, completely tailored to you Feel free to send me a message with your questions or concerns, and we'll discuss how I can best support you.

Need help with math and science (physics, chemistry, etc.)? As a 33-year-old civil engineer, I'm happy to help! I'll learn at your own pace, using plenty of examples to illustrate the material. I have years of experience teaching both simple and complex subjects. The lessons run as follows. First of all, together we look for the student's biggest stumbling blocks. These can be related to the subject matter as well as to the study method. From there, I continue to work at the pace of the student and encourage them to ask as many questions as possible. I also give them tips and tricks, and improve their working methods where necessary. During the lesson I give many examples to make the subject matter more interesting and we solve exercises together. Once the student has mastered the exercises from the lesson, I give some more challenging exercises to also test on the deeper understanding of the subject matter. In this way I try to optimally prepare the student for his / her test or exam. However, learning should also be enjoyable. That is why I always strive for a good relationship with the student through a spontaneous and positive approach. I am also very patient. All this lowers the barrier to ask questions and improves the student's learning process. Are you interested? Do not hesitate to contact me! See you soon! Tim

Mathematics and Physics tutoring for secondary education students in AntwerpTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Mathematics and Physics tutoring for secondary education students in AntwerpTranslate this text using Google Translate.

I am studying Mathematics at the University of Cambridge (graduated my bachelor's degree with highest distinction in June 2023, I will start my master's in October 2023) and systematically obtained >90% in mathematics and physics. My math teacher wrote about me in her recommendation letter for the University of Cambridge: “And very important as well, he is a good communicator and apt to share his knowledge. Whenever we do teamwork, a quiz or a game in the classroom, everyone wants to be in the same group as Zephyr. ” I have 4 younger brothers who regularly ask me for help when they are stuck with their school work. By helping them with this I learned how to explain subject matter. In 2019 I started paying tutoring. In the meantime I have already tutored dozens of students, for secondary school material, and preparation for entrance exams for universities. It is important for me to discuss with you, parents and student at the end of the first lesson whether what you expect will be feasible. This way I can be sure that you will be satisfied with the lessons. My goal is to update the student as quickly as possible in any area where there is a backlog, so that the student is not even more behind. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

Are you looking for math tutoring for yourself or for your child/student, from primary school to all levels of secondary education? Then I can help you. I am patient and do more than just help with homework. First we examine together whether the problem is general or there are just a few specific questions. For some specific questions, we can probably solve the problems with some extra lessons, for example in the run-up to exams or a big test to cross the i's and cross the t's. For larger problems such as study method problems, we will have to opt for more structural tutoring in consultation with the parents/student (can be once a week/2 weeks/month, for example). I don't have a magic wand, but if the child is motivated, we can really achieve a lot. Online tutoring is possible, but I prefer more traditional methods: I sit next to the student and we work with pen and paper, with or without the parent nearby (some young people feel calmer if the parent stays nearby, others find it which is embarrassing; I'm also a stranger to the parent, so I understand if you want to stay close). I prefer as little screen time as possible, I can show examples on the computer, for example we can make graphs and calculations in wolfram alpha or I can provide geometric animations in geogebra. I studied mathematics and teacher training at KULeuven. I have hundreds of hours of experience in tutoring. I participated in the summer course for incoming secondary education students who want to test whether their mathematics level is up to standard to start a mathematics or engineering course at university. You are welcome at my home in Antwerp or I can travel to your home in the wider area around Antwerp. Please let us know if you are interested. My agenda is not always predictable, but it is quite flexible. If you are interested, please contact me and we will find a time that suits you. I will make time for you.

It is with the utmost admiration and gratitude that I extend my effulgent endorsement for David, the epitome of mathematical tutorship. His fervor for the subject and his pupils is steadfast, and David’s commitment to ensuring proficiency and comprehension is manifest in every tutorial session. His availability is most pliable, as he exhibits a constant readiness to alter his docket to accede to the necessities of his students. This adaptability is rare and precious quality, one that has played a seminal role in my time near the finals. Not only do he demonstrate devotion during his scheduled lessons time, for he is always approachable for additional guidance and support outside his hours. David’s unwavering dedication to the academic success of his students is truly remarkable and deeply appreciated by those who benefit from it. What distinguishes David is not solely his mastery in mathematics, but his amiable and cordial demeanour. He cultivates a genial and hospitable environment; and his pedagogy a harmonious blend of professionalism and conviviality. I consider myself fortunate to have availed myself of David’s instruction, and I cannot recommend him highly enough. In conclusion, if you seek a mathematics tutor, David Devidze should be your first port of call. His passion for the subject, commitment to his students, and affable personality makes him the ideal tutor for anyone seeking to enhance their mathematical understanding and aptitude. A true gem in the world of tutelage

Teacher Raef, is an experienced teacher. My son enjoyed his first online lesson today with Teacher Raef. He’s a very dedicated teacher, dedicated towards his students learning needs and supports. Teacher Raef clears all doubts related to the topic instantly and with great clarity. He guides the student in each and every steps with patience and understanding. The best part of Teacher Raef is that he always encourages the student with his positive attitudes. This develops a sense of confidence in the pupil. Thank you Teacher Raef for your support and guidance to my son!!

As a student who grew up in the American Education system, having classes with Michael is as if I were back in the U.S. The way he explains and the easiness of understanding the material is one of a kind that I doubt I would get from a Spanish/European professional who would sure make it more complicated. I would reccomend Michael to anyone who wants an American experience of teaching.
