I’ve worked with IB students at different levels, I know the curriculum and requirements. We prepare focusing on the admission test and build a good base for the IB years to come.

About Me

My name is Emese and I'm a mathematician. I have been tutoring private students for over 10 years. I only teach online.

When it comes to Mathematics I specialise in international high school curriculums. Over the years I got familiar with several different systems, such as the IB, SAT, IGCSE, etc. and I'm of course open to explore more.

The key of my teaching method is personalisation. I only teach one student at a time and acknowledge that each individual has different needs. Understanding the core idea is more important in my opinion, than just memorising rules and formulas. I prepare students for exams, tests, but in the end they won't just remember empty sequences of steps, but have a complex concept of the curriculum.

I originally studied general mathematics, then specialised in applied mathematics. I wrote my thesis on graph theory and how to use it for building knowledge.

I have about 10 years of private tutoring experience. I used to work at a private tutoring studio but in the past 7-8 years I've been teaching as a freelance private tutor using my own methods and material.

I've worked with students of all levels throughout the years, so I have a bunch of sample IAs, hence ideas and topics, styles that we can go over and get inspired by.

I offer mathematics lessons suitable for all levels and ages, up to baccalaureate level. I offer different types of courses:
- Regular lessons to maintain a constant level of competence.
- "Intense" courses over a period of a few days or weeks, during which we will work for several hours in a row in order to prepare for an exam or a specific project.
- Preparatory courses to help students make the transition to higher education.
