I am a fun, fresh and multi-lingual tutor who speaks fluent British English and Dutch. I continuously devote my time to making sure that my students have the right attention and learning materials so they succeed in their goals of learning English with me. It's not an easy task to learn a new language and I guarantee you I will give you all the time and energy needed to make your goals a reality. Whether that's practicing your grammar, preparing for an important interview/test, getting promoted at your job and needing to excel in your vocabulary/ business vocab fast, or just wanting to have fun meaningful interactive conversations to practice confidence and fluency, then I am the right Teacher for you!

As a self taught editor, i always wished for some guidance when it came to figuring out how to go about making an edit, finding sponsers, following trends and networking. What kind of content are we making? What is the clients brand? How do we ensure the viewer stays entertained throughout the video? What are the sponsors wishes and how do we meet them? After 3 years of trial and error, i managed to figure out many effective and easy ways to deliver the best content. When trying to grow your portfolio, and develop as a film/videographer it's important to have an ever growing network of fellow editors! I offer online or face-to-face English lessons to non-native speakers. I work with the student to identify learning objectives and any areas of weakness and tailor the lesson accordingly. Areas covered during the lesson include, speaking, listening, reading, writing, grammar accent reduction.
I currently live in Den Haag, The Netherlands. In addition to private coaching, I also work for an online ESL company delivering English lessons to children across a range of age groups. In addition, I also work as an ESL proofreader and IELTS private tutor here in The Hague. I hold a BA (Hons) degree and have a CELTA qualification. Prior to a career in ESL English teaching, I worked in the UK national press for the Times and Financial Times newspapers. It was there I developed my proofreading and communications skills.
In my spare time, I write articles for magazines and have had feature stories published in The Telegraph magazine, The Daily Mail and a number of health magazines. I have also written two language books. The first, 'I Already Speak Speak French!' is an illustrated book for children that covers the etymology of many English words to their French origin (attached is a sample of it for your interest!). It has been translated for the French market into, 'I Already Speak English!' The second book is called, 'Learn Business English FAST!' which draws on a teaching methodology used for effective, fast learning that I used whilst teaching English for the international company, GoFluent.

👂 Listening: I will teach you what to expect in all sections and provide training on all task types including filling in forms, labelling maps, understanding debates and discussions, and listening for keywords in lectures. Are you confused by different accents? You will get used to my standard southern British accent in no time, and I will help you understand accents from Australia, the US and Canada too thanks to my training in linguistics.

📚 Reading: I will teach you how to increase your reading speed, quickly find key information and identify words with similar meanings. You will learn how to answer all question types including multiple choice, matching information, true/false/not given, filling in blanks, and labelling diagrams.

🖊️ Writing: You will learn about all Task 1 types including graphs, charts, maps and diagrams. I will show you how to describe trends, make comparisons and analyse differences. In Task 2 you will learn to make and discuss opinions, consider advantages and disadvantages, and write about causes, effects and solutions. Above all, I will teach you to write quickly, as it is essential to finish both tasks and reach the minimum number of words within one hour.

👄 Speaking: I will help you prepare for all common questions and topics in Part 1, give expert advice on making short speeches in Part 2, and teach you how to give long and confident answers to all types of difficult questions in Part 3. There isn't a better way to teach your child a new language than through playing. My job is to introduce the English, French, or Arabic language while your child is discovering and learning to make sense of the world around them. Through play, children have more capacity to develop linguistic, social, and communication skills, and gain the self-confidence they need.
My job is to play with the child while using the new language vocabulary; as an example, we can play the Zoo game and learn the names of the animals, the noise they make, the food they consume, and where they live in the wild.
While we play, we can use toys, pictures, songs, videos, and house objects such as fruits and vegetables.
We can play inside or outside in a safe environment.
I have a program that I developed to help my child learn a language and have fun at the same time. It consists of games, reading books, and role-playing in different themes such as ( Food, Animals, Numbers, Alphabet, Colors, Geography, Nature, Technology, Outfits... )
This program can be discussed and edited by the parent according to their child's needs and level.

My name is Louis, I am a 23 years old and am a native English speaker. Before The Netherlands, I have lived in the UK for 16+ years; all of my school education has been in the English taught British school system. This has helped clients in particular, with children in a British school here.

I have designed my classes with the aim of building the basic skills required in holding conversations, succeeding in an English speaking environment but also teaching students who have an advanced level but require extra help (often with the technical side, for example the rules surrounding tenses and other grammatical points).

The classes are best performed on a one to one basis but I have taught small group sessions (less than 5) before.

Learning languages are always more fun when involving an interaction based on personal interests! That's why I could take a more conventional approach to teaching but I prefer an interactive engaging type of class. We can start with basic daily life based conversations to delving into more detailed and specific contexts, to a level where any types of topics can be covered.
