Trusted teacher: I first identify the student's gaps and then develop a work plan with him/her. My goal is to encourage students to give the best of themselves while having fun and developing a taste for the language and its culture. I want to remedy their difficulties and above all give them (back) confidence in themselves, because I believe that 70% of the ability to express oneself in another language depends on our self-confidence and/or our abilities. For students who would like to go further, I also give them the opportunity by teaching them the nuances of the language, the "spoken" language or the formal language, mainly in writing... it's according to their wishes. Above all, I want to meet the expectations of my students and help them improve where they want. Having (had) direct contact with English and German, I also anchor my lessons in the cultural reality of each of these languages by talking about current topics, using new technologies or starting from popular culture to give meaning to what I teach, so that the student sees the direct use he/she can make of his/her language knowledge. After all, in an increasingly globalized world, languages are lived and are no longer just forms frozen in books several years old. I am therefore focused on the students and, even if I also want to pass on my passion to them, my point of honor is to be able to understand them and understand their real difficulties/desires in order to be able to create a course adapted to each one.

Trusted teacher: I teach German to beginners, who would like to improve their speech, writing and general apprehension of the German language. Maybe you are moving to Germany and don't know where to begin (as was the case with me 3 years ago!), or you are planning a holiday and would like to communicate successfully. Maybe you are preparing for an exam, or are simply interested by the language and would like to learn more. Whatever the case, I would be delighted to help! Lessons will focus on a variety of topics, geared towards your language learning goal. This will prodominantly include grammar - the four cases, sentence structure, conjugation, etc. - vocabulary, and conversational work. I also have experience with phonetics and German diction, which I studied as part of my university degree. I can therefore assist you with correct pronunciation. I have several course materials through which we can work. These would take us thematically through topics such as culture, careers, hobbies and many more. I can also offer general conversational practice, if you are looking to practice and boost already acquired skills. My lessons are always tailored to my students needs, and I aim to create a friendly and inspiring atmosphere. I believe above all that learning should be fun, relaxed, and move at a pace that you find both invigorating and enjoyable!

Saniah is really fantastic - my son (14.5 yrs) and I enrolled for '1-1' classes with her, mainly to improve our conversational fluency/ease (our main focus right now), and from even the first few minutes we immediately were at ease, feeling relaxed and open in trying and warming up our German. Saniah kept us challenged, yet not at a frustrating level, and thus very engaged, and was patient in correcting us and helping us to explore the interesting conversations that came up over the two hours of the lesson. Saniah is a very well informed and thoughtful person, with an international and well-travelled background, and we managed to cover a lot of ground exploring interesting and current topics; she also gave us great German book/movie recommendations, plus followed up with adding extra vocab lists and assignments if we wished. We have had only one lesson so far, but are very much looking forward to the next one - certainly exceeded expectations and very happy with the outcome.
