I offer you a new learning experience. The focus is on practical application and theory is only introduced where intuition reaches its limits. Whether you are a beginner or an advanced learner, my tailor-made lessons will accelerate your language acquisition in a positive learning environment. You can book a complete course with regular sessions or individual lessons to overcome a specific problem, such as pronunciation or a particular point in grammar. Learning a foreign language is not a linear process that consists of memorising a list of words, and speaking a foreign language is not an oral translation exercise. There are two types of approaches to acquiring knowledge: When asked what year follows 1999, you can immediately answer 2000 without having to think for a long time and, above all, without having memorised each number individually, starting with 1, 2, 3 ... You know that numbers are formed according to a certain pattern. With only ten digits, you can form an infinite number of numbers and always know which number comes next. When it comes to the alphabet, words and sentences, it's more or less the same, but school pedagogy, school textbooks and regular lessons still follow the rote learning approach. In the lessons I propose, you will learn to use patterns because this is more efficient and faster. Learning is easy, but unlearning bad habits is extremely difficult. This makes it all the more important to learn the right reflexes as early as possible. My offer is aimed at both young people and adults who want to learn German or improve their knowledge without wasting time on nonsensical school methods. I offer individual or group lessons for German. The methods are based on cognitive science and, in particular, comparative linguistics. My flexible programme can be tailored to your individual needs. The programme focuses on your independence in spontaneous conversations in real life. What is particularly important to me: motivating my students and help them establish a learning rhythm; encouraging their creativity; helping them become more familiar with the language; teaching them the letters and their sounds; strengthening their memory by training their phonological loop; teaching sentence building plans instead of memorising sentences; explaining how language works so that my students can become independent as quickly as possible. I like to use different methods to teach French to students. It can be through songs, drama, role play or videos. I also very often use situations close to the student's experience, such as describing places they have been or talking about what they have experienced. At the same time, I teach the grammar rules to the student. I now live in regions where French has been spoken for over 30 years. Because I have learned French myself (and I am still learning other languages), I can easily put myself in a student's shoes. I can teach in French, Dutch, English, German and Russian.

Many French people admit not feeling at ease when they have to express themselves in English to English-speaking people. They understand well what they hear but do not have solid keys to express themselves with ease, fluidity, by constructing rich sentences. They think that what they lack the most is the vocabulary but generally, what they lack the most are grammatical keys on which to build everything. The grammar of a language is the equivalent of the foundations of a house. Without foundations, a house crumbles. Without grammar, the expression remains wobbly, approximate, even false to the point of sometimes becoming incomprehensible. This is why I offer private lessons exclusively in English grammar to allow you to weld your "foundations" and free your expression by giving you confidence. Together, we will take, deepen and consolidate your grammatical knowledge We will reinforce your mastery of the fundamental structures of the language and will also work on the idioms which English people love and which will allow you to make a difference. In order to progress in the best possible conditions, I offer private lessons in the evening of 1h or 1h30: Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays between 7 p.m. and 10 p.m. Saturday mornings between 9:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. or afternoon between 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.

I was born in Istanbul in 1983. I started teaching Turkish while studying Turkish Language and Literature at university. I worked in a language school and at universities. I have been teaching Turkish professionally for more than 16 years. I also taught Turkish for 5 years when I was a university student. In 2018, I obtained a TESOL certificate and also began teaching English. I teach both adults and children. Creating a comfortable learning environment for my students is one of my top priorities. I hold firmly to two main principles: creating a comfortable space for learning and building an encouraging atmosphere. My students often describe me as patient, positive, and well-organised. I adapt my teaching to the needs of students with special conditions, such as ADHD and OCD. In my lessons, you’ll never feel afraid of making mistakes. Even though I use a communicative approach, my lessons are supported by a solid understanding of grammar, as Turkish has a very different structure. I use the course book set prepared by Istanbul University. It follows a strategic approach to learning Turkish and includes all language skills—reading, grammar, writing, listening, watching, and speaking—from A1 to C2. All of these skills are essential for conversation. I teach English for the A1 and A2 levels. The workbook offers many exercises for homework or revision, and I support the book with my own authentic materials. I also use an interactive board that you can view anytime, and you can edit it as well. Repetition-based speaking practice plays an important role in my lessons. I speak English well, and a bit of Italian, and I have also studied Persian and German grammar. I am interested in literature. One-on-one lessons on Apprentus are just for you.
