Trusted teacher: "Music is a social experience". That's the main thing that, regardless of wanting to be a professional musician or just play to have fun, music can offer to us: we can learn how to be among people, and get to know things about music itself, people and even ourselves! It's also a great way to get our own personality and have fun: it enhances our sensitivity and it's just a fun way to spend time! Anyways, how rude, I'm Enrico, a world-touring guitar player, composer and band leader, and I'm really glad you're reading this presentation. I grew up in a small town in the South of Italy, Crispiano, where I started playing guitar as a game, because it was such a great way to spend my afternoons and get together with my friends, just like playing video games or soccer, and here I am now ... my passion became my life! I like to teach that in my lessons: how fun it is to discover new things on your instrument and share them with all your friends ... starting with me. I'd love you to play with me during our lessons and learn things by doing them, starting with what you already like, playing your favorite songs together so you can go out and do the same with your friends! I've been lucky enough to meet teachers and colleagues that had the same approach with me, starting from my classical guitar studies in Italy, through the Royal Conservatory of The Hague, where I'm currently finishing my jazz guitar Bachelor, till the masters or jazz music in New York City, which I had the luck to study with, like Peter Bernstein, Barry Harris or Dave Kikoski. This led me, despite my young age, to share the stage with great superstars on the international jazz scene such as Joe Magnarelli, Gadi Lehavi, Felix Rossy and many others and recording my first album, "Social Music" out with A.MA Records in July 2019!

Trusted teacher: Hello, My name is Kevin, and I am a passionate guitar player from Austin Texas, based here in Berlin. I grew up studying classical guitar and playing rock guitar (Austin is a great city for rock!) before studying Jazz at the prestigious Thornton School of Music at USC in Los Angeles. I have been performing since the age of six, with solo and group performances in various cities across America, including Los Angeles, New York, and Washington DC. In addition to this, I have been teaching guitar for over 10 years. I am currently furthering my studies at the Universität der Künste Berlin focusing back on my first love, the classical guitar! As a teacher, my focus is always on the individual student: what are your specific passions, strengths, and weaknesses, and what are your goals? How can I tailor our lessons to get us there? How can we have fun? In addition to this, with all my students I work to cultivate a strong and reliable technical ability. A good technique is important. It lays a strong foundation for everything and gives you the tools to truly express yourself musically. I am happy to teach any style (except Reggae because... Nah just kidding) and all experience levels. Beginners are so very welcome! Here are some of my focuses: - Fingerstyle: classical and folk style - Plectrum style, strumming, and single note - Improvisation (and all of its many applications!) - Scales, chords, and arpeggios - Advanced application of music theory - Intuitive understanding of rhythm, along with odd time signatures - Ear training (identifying notes and chords simply by hearing them) - Music reading - Using equipment to craft tones for electric guitar (amps and effects) - Practical understanding of recording software, which is both a wonderful creative tool and vital for professional purposes. I teach out of my apartment in Friedrichshain/Prenzlauer Berg. So let's get started! Cheers, Kevin
