I am a working musician with several years of experience working as a performing/recording session guitarist and songwriter. I trained at ICMP London, graduating with a First Class Ba (Hons) In Creative Musicianship. I hold Performance and Music Theory guitar qualifications at Grade 8. I have experience in recording and performing with a wide range of popular artists in the music industry across a variety of styles and genres, whilst also having several years of experience teaching Guitar to beginner, intermediate and advanced abilities. I offer a friendly, informative approach to learning guitar that is tailored to the pupil. Whether that be developing through graded syllabuses or aquiring new skills through learning songs that you like. My sole aim is that pupils develop on the instrument and get the most out of their lessons whilst also having a fun and interesting time doing so.

I teach guitar with a strong foundation in Irish folk music, focusing on solid technique, rhythm and musicality. Lessons draw on traditional repertoire as well as contemporary songs, helping students develop good timing, tone and confidence on the instrument. Beginner focused These guitar lessons are rooted in Irish folk traditions and designed to build strong fundamentals from the ground up. Students learn chords, strumming patterns, fingerstyle basics and simple tunes, with an emphasis on playing musically and comfortably. No previous experience required. Folk and song accompaniment Guitar lessons focused on folk style accompaniment, drawing heavily from Irish traditional and contemporary folk music. Students learn chord shapes, rhythm, fingerpicking and song based playing, with an emphasis on supporting vocals and storytelling through the guitar. More personal and artistic With a background in Irish folk music, my guitar teaching centres on feel, rhythm and connection to the song. Lessons explore traditional and modern folk approaches while building strong technique and musical understanding. Each class is shaped around the student’s interests and pace.

Hello! I’m Francesco but all my students call me Frankie. I’ve been playing drums and guitar since I was 15 years old living in Venezuela. I continued my studies in an American college for a year, to then decide to get my bachelors degree in Italy; a school called MAEurope (or currently Music Academy), affiliated with Middlesex, ACM and LAMA. After getting my B.A. Degree I moved to London where I continued to teach with a couple of agencies and play as a session musician for a couple of acts. I’ve been teaching since I was 22 years old in the same school I was getting my B.A. Degree: MAEurope. My first class ever were a group of 6-years old kids; lucky me ha? Well, they were great! The main challenge of having such a young age class was to keep them entertained and not loose focus. This situation gave me the tools to create my own way of teaching which is usually laid back, fun and not with a “school” approach towards the student. The kids don’t even realize they are learning until they actually get home and know how to play the instrument! Especially with young students. it is important to make the lessons fun and not tedious as this experience sets the way the student will look at the instrument for the rest of their lives: boring classes = boring instrument. These tools are good for adults too. I won’t use childish games, of course; but the ability to keep the lesson fluent and entertaining is one of my priorities.

I offer fantastically priced bespoke professional acoustic, electric and classical guitar lessons for players of any ability. Many of my students take graded exams in either contemporary or classical guitar and students who I prepare for exams regularly achieve distinctions. However if the student does not wish to take graded exams I can simply help them learn their favourite songs as well as teaching key techniques to progress in their preferred genres and styles. Songwriting is a fantastic skill whether you are a beginner or want to improve your songwriting capabilities. Not only will your musical abilities improve but so will you english language capabilities as we look to marry music and lyrics in the best possible way. Not only is it a great industry to get into, songwriting has enormous benefits to mental health as it provides a platform for creative expression which in my many years of experience has helped so many of my younger as well as older students. In my class, you will learn the foundations behind creating a great song including: Songwriting forms and structure in all genres, music theory and understanding chord progressions and modes, breaking music theory conventions in order to create a unique sound, great songwriting tools to help with 'writers block', performance coaching and how to convey your songs message on stage as well as all things music industry, including the importance of copyright and how to protect your songs. My students will be working with me on constructing songs as beginners and my more experienced songwriting students will work with professional music industry briefs that I will provide. Students will be able to write songs comfortably and autonomously after only a handful of lessons with me.
