History and/or French for GCSE and A-Level studentsTranslate this text using Google Translate.

I am a highly passionate and committed history student at UCL fuelled with a desire to share my educational expertise with GCSE and A-Level History and/or French students. As a previous high-achieving and enthusiastic GCSE and A-Level student that achieved nine 9’s at GCSE and two A* and one A at A-Level, I believe that the knowledge and advice I have acquired would be extremely beneficial and I am thus eager to support students in fulfilling their academic aspirations. My tutoring sessions will be highly flexible in terms of hours and location, and specifically tailored to suit the needs of the individual student. Whether this may be covering specific content that the student may feel less confident with, or regular exam practice through attempting exam-style questions and past papers both individually and collaboratively. My sessions will foster a relaxed learning atmosphere, ultimately allowing the student to thrive and expand their academic horizon. In terms of my personal characteristics, I am extremely attentive and compassionate, and I possess strong interpersonal skills, a factor which is further facilitated by my bilingual capabilities (French & English). I believe that these qualities allow for me to be an open minded individual, an invaluable asset for a tutor.

History for School aged children and teenagers - and adults seeking specific requested topicsTranslate this text using Google Translate.

History defines our surroundings, our identity, our nations, and our life in any way we do not always see. For myself, I have always had a deep passion for making history fun, exciting and captivating, something my students will experience in my classes, in which, through the medium of storytelling and class interaction I will take them through a journey through time learning about key historical periods related to their learning curriculum at school. I hold and BA in History and Politics (2:1) and an MSc in Heritage Studies (Merit), both from the University of Stirling, in which my research into Scottish Social history was well-praised by my tutors during my dissertations. During my time at university, and work at NGS I have cultivated extensive knowledge about Medieval Scottish history, the Viking era, and Ancient history such as the Egyptians, WWI & WWII, and Industrial British history, amongst many others. This knowledge enables me to ensure Primary and High School students can be taught the history curriculum at School by just one person. I am also open to requests about certain topics outside mainstream High Education curriculums, in which students would like me to research a topic and tutor them about it.

We are very happy with the French lessons Awni gives to our 14-year-old daughter. He is very flexible and adapts the lessons perfectly to her needs and level! He places special focus on pronunciation, vocabulary, listening skills, and conversation, while introducing interesting topics that make the lessons engaging and enjoyable. He is also willing to adjust the lessons to the homework and topics covered at school, which has been extremely helpful for her progress and confidence in French. Our daughter genuinely enjoys the lessons because Awni is motivating, clear, patient, and kind. He creates a positive atmosphere that makes learning fun and effective at the same time!! We highly recommend him as a French teacher!

It is always a pleasure to meet Phil for our weekly online French classes. He is a patient and kind teacher and always full of energy for our class. Phil is interested in a wide range of topics, so we always have something to talk about based on an article he selected as 'homework'. What I really appreciate about his way of teaching is that he corrects me during our conversation without breaking the flow of our talk, so I can really feel my confidence in speaking French increasing each class. I woulf highly recommend Phil if you are looking for a French tutor :)

My 3 children studied with Daniela for the whole year, and it was a great pleasure! Although my kids' english was not very much advanced and that presented issues while studying science, Daniela was able to give necessary explanations, accommodate to their level and uplift knowledge. From the beginning of the year when each science topic was a struggle, we are ending the year with solid understanding of the school program and ability to participate in the class work. Daniela is very punctual and dedicated to her students, and I surely recommend her
