I strongly believe that students achieve the best results when they are motivated, curious, and actively engaged in the learning process. My aim is not only to help students succeed academically, but also to develop critical thinking, confidence, analytical skills, and a genuine interest in the subject. Subjects offered include: • History • Geography • Religious Studies • Classical Civilisation • Essay Writing and Academic Skills • Revision Strategies and Exam Technique • Source Analysis and Interpretation • Coursework and Independent Research Support As a Humanities teacher, PhD researcher at Cardiff University, and graduate of University College London (UCL), I bring both academic expertise and practical teaching experience to every lesson. Throughout my career I have taught Humanities in schools, academies, and private tuition settings, helping students improve grades, develop confidence, and build strong independent learning habits. A/AS-Level Drama Support: Theatre History and Understanding PerformanceTranslate this text using Google Translate.

A/AS-Level Drama Support: Theatre History and Understanding PerformanceTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Alongside my tutoring work, I am a professional playwright and theatre critic. I have studied theatre at the University of York, Royal Central School of Speech and Drama and I am a member of the Soho Theatre Writers Group. My plays have been staged at the Edinburgh Fringe, York Theatre Royal and across Fringe venues in London. With my A/AS-Level Drama support classes, we will examine and explore the history behind a number of the key texts on the specifications for OCR, Pearson and EDUQAS: Hedda Gabler by Henrik Ibsen Accidental Death of an Anarchist by Dario Fo Saved by Edward Bond In classes, we will look at the context in which these plays were written, the cultural impact they had and how to use this in essays to demonstrate your broader knowledge of the set texts. Aside from the plays themselves, it is important to understand the wider world of theatre. We will look at the plays of Samuel Beckett, Jean Genet and Theatre of the Absurd for Dario Fo. The history of Theatre censorship and the Royal Court Theatre is crucial to understanding Edward Bond's Saved. This class will give you the opportunity to explore these complex texts with a practising playwright, and the expanded knowledge of these plays will give you that edge when it comes to the exam.

SMASH GCSE English Languahe & Literature, History or Religious StudiesTranslate this text using Google Translate.

I have been tutoring since September and have thoroughly enjoyed helping my KS2 students in working on their English skills in preparation for both SATS and 11+. Following achieving my GCSE results, I now feel more prepared to move onto a larger range of subjects. I am passionate about helping students to do the best that they can and to reach their potential. It is hugely rewarding to see progress being made. I achieved 10 GCSE grades, with a grade 9 in English Literature, Language, History and Religious Studies, a grade 8 in Geography and an average grade of 7.5 across the board. All my grades were the equivalent of A* to B, the majority being A* and A equivalent. I believe that the best way to teach is through gathering and creating a large range of resources to ensure that all necessary content is being covered and that content is being accessed through a variety of mediums that will allow for it to be learnt and understood quickly. Furthermore, at this level, working with examination questions is essential. It is vital that students familiarise themselves with mark schemes and I will make sure to teach students how questions are marked, ensuring that the right structures are used too. Communication with parents is also key and I would deliver this through weekly or bi-weekly bulletins for groups and parent emails and phone calls too. Finally, I would focus on revision methods and make sure that you have access to a range of strategies that will make your learning experience more enjoyable, engaging and successful. Message me for a discussion and so I can confirm availability and offer more realistic, updated time slots.

I shared a Cubase project with Paolo and he provided very specific feedback and suggestions on my mix that I'm sure will improve the quality of my music production and my confidence in my sound. I'm looking forward to my next lesson.
