About Me
My name is Paolo Coruzzi. I am an Italian educator, musician, writer, and PhD researcher based in London.
Born and raised in Turin, Italy, I have spent more than twenty-five years working across education, music, theatre, and the humanities. Alongside my teaching career, I am a songwriter, composer, guitarist, and stage director, having independently released multiple albums, composed soundtracks for theatre productions, and performed throughout Europe.
My academic background includes an MA in Humanities and Arts from the University of Turin, a Diploma in Classical Guitar from Trinity College London, an MA in Archaeology from University College London (UCL), and ongoing PhD research at Cardiff University focusing on Sacred Archaeology and the ancient Mediterranean world.
Throughout my career I have taught Humanities, Music, Italian Language and Literature, and Drama in schools, academies, and private tuition settings. Today I continue to combine academic research with teaching, helping students develop not only subject knowledge but also confidence, independence, critical thinking, and a genuine passion for learning.
I strongly believe that excellent results are achieved when students are motivated, curious, and actively engaged in the learning process. My lessons are tailored to the individual, creating a supportive environment where students feel confident to ask questions, explore ideas, make mistakes, and ultimately achieve their full potential.
I am currently accepting students aged 10 and above who demonstrate a genuine interest in the subject and a willingness to engage positively with their studies.
I am also the founder of SounVid Audio & Video Productions, author of the beginner guitar method FAB Guitarist, and author of the Italian poetry collection Viandanti nelle Terre del Sole.
