I am a PhD researcher at the University of Oxford with a master’s in chemistry. I have been tutoring for several years, and my intentions are to help you reach those desired top grades. Through my tutoring I will not only try to help you learn the subject matter, but I also hope to show you how enjoyable maths and chemistry can actually be (I am all too aware how dull they are at times). I will teach you the critical study techniques and exam techniques that got me to where I am today, the same methods Oxbridge students used when they were in your shoes. Whether it is giving advice with university applications or helping you pass your tests, I always take the student’s background into consideration. Having tutored GCSEs, A-Levels, and Bachelor of Sciences across three continents I have seen how different countries have different requirements and how students from different backgrounds might face different challenges. I have experience with most exam boards, especially AQA and Edexcel. With my exam techniques I will show you how to approach each type of question for each exam board. As important as knowing the subject matter is, it is usually the exam techniques that distinguish the As from A*s. And it is that sense of pride and satisfaction I feel when one of my students reaches those grades that motivates me to keep tutoring.
