I am a medical student who aspires to be a surgeon specializing in emergency medicine one day. I am a friendly and funny person who wishes to teach children that need that extra help to achieve their grades. I studied at Harris Westminster Sixth Form, which also was rated the 2019 Sixth Form of the Year. For my GCSE students, I will provide note templates before the lesson if you choose. You will be given one free note template for a biology lesson as a taster. The rest are paid for. I teach in a specific way to ensure my students are exceeding their potential. This is known as the MPR method. M stands for Mechanics, which is the understanding and knowledge of the content being taught. This is usually easy to teach and for students to grasp using my varying techniques to teach such as diagrams, short term memory stimulation, colour coded notes etc. P stands for Purpose, which is the application of the mechanics to exam questions. Students often find themselves distraught after exams because they studied very very hard, understood the content, but could not put it into practice. Questions known as application questions in Science throw students off 9 out of 10 times and prevents them from getting at least a Grade 7. I work to change that. R stands for Response, which is the improvement aspect of my teaching. I have strict revision methods which have worked on students I have taught in the past. This is the moment I teach my student to better themselves. Other than that, I am someone who your child can see as a friend and mentor. I can support my students mentally too because I know how tough things can get. Suffering from ADHD and dyslexia myself, I am someone who has also suffered hardships. I spent my entire educational career not knowing I had these two, so I was not given extra time.
