Studying both classical and contemporary harmony (jazz, bossa) is a tool to later be able to arrange or write music in these styles. We will analyze and create musical pieces in these styles, using famous pieces well known to music lovers.

If you've been playing guitar for a while and want to improve your guitar skills, this is the class you should take! We'll cover advanced chord tensions, how to apply them, improvising over different chords, cadence, and minor, major, and modal contexts. We can also review how to build a melody with chords, which could be a bit more advanced. We will use the same materials as Berklee College of Music to guide our path through this beautiful process of discovering the guitar. I prefer to teach with the person physically present, both because it makes the student feel more comfortable, and so do I as the educator; however, if there's a problem, I think we could arrange for online teaching.

I'll teach you how to start producing music for a variety of musical genres! We'll focus primarily on producing. However, we could offer audio mixing classes if that's your interest. We can review some music theory if necessary for this class. This class could be applied to any DAW you use.
