POP Almost everything can fit into the category of popular music, so students can play any song they want. We often play movie soundtracks and famous songs from the field of pop, rock and folk. We learn to play from notes and chord symbols. JAZZ Students learn the basics of jazz harmony. We start with II-V-I progressions, then we add tensions (9, 11, 13, etc.) to the chords. We immediately apply the acquired basics to well-known jazz and blues standards (Autumn leaves, Fly me to the moon, etc.). We also learn proper phrasing and overall perception of rhythm, which is very important in jazz. CLASSICAL When teaching classical music, we work primarily to ensure that students play naturally and that the music really speaks. Gradually we learn to relax our hands and develop a quality tone. We play compositions from the Baroque, Classicism, Romanticism and 20th century.
