Born in Buenos Aires in 1985, multidisciplinary artist. Dancer, teacher and choreographer of tango, I trace an atypical route between Europe and Argentina, at the crossroads of disciplines. Trained in the traditional places of tango in Argentina since the age of 17, I nourish an aesthetic curiosity inspired by tango, which led me to question several fields such as writing, drawing, video and contemporary dance.
Since 2012, I have developed choreographic creations, and worked in collaboration with: the Tanztheater Pina Bausch, the dancers of the Paris National Opera, the ballet of the Leipzig Opera, the company Les Choses de Rien, the Fabrique Autonome Actors, and other independent companies.
In 2017 I began a series of collaborations with the CCN Mulhouse / Ballet de l'Opéra National du Rhin, under the direction of Bruno Bouché, fundamental in its trajectory: I participated in the Atelier (multidisciplinary research residency) , designed the scenography of the program “Dancing Bach in the 21st”. As part of the Arsmondo festival, in 2019, at the request of Eva Kleinitz, he directed and choreographed the tango opera, the piece allows me to make visible a research involving several codes and aesthetic forms , beyond tango.

I engaged Matias to teach me the basic steps of tango on my 70th birthday in Paris. I am not a dancer or physically fit but am musical and move well to rhythms.
I asked Matias to hire a dance space near to my hotel, which he did. He also met me at my hotel to accompany me so I found it.
Matias provided both recorded and live tango music by playing his bandoneon, which was a wonderful treat to hear while I had a rest.
My cousin recorded our dancing. Matias explained very well and demonstrated steps to help me. He showed patience and we made excellent progress which left me feeling very proud of myself.
My aim was fully achieved and I have a lovely memory and recording.
I took a tango class with Matias and it was just excelent. Very good technical guiding - just to the point, with very clear explenations (conprehensable for the brain and for the body) and a great practice. I enjoyed a lot and learned a lot!
Matias is very experienced, and he explains the basics of Argentine tango in an understandable and interesting way, with nice analogies. We took a private lesson at his place, and it was excellent.

Matias was an amazing teacher. Before arriving in Paris I had zero experience dancing ballet - or any dance form for that matter. He was incredibly open when I told him it was my first time and began my lesson without any judgement. Across our three lessons I received a range of support, from practical instruction to training on how to properly stretch and destress. Matias’ teaching was also theoretical; in our first lesson he talked me through anatomical diagrams to help me get better acquainted with the muscles that I would be using during my practical work. Matias was an attentive, sensitive, and lighthearted teacher and his bright and airy Parisian studio space was the perfect place to begin my ballet journey. I cannot recommend his teaching enough!
Matias is a very good teacher. I loved our Tango lesson. He is a teacher, attentive, enthusiastic and caring. We feel that he is passionate about what he does. Thank you very much Matias!
