Music is a widely used language across many genres of music. My class will deal with theory, musical vocabulary, sight-reading/singing and other techniques through the genres of gospel, jazz, R&B, etc. You'll learn how to play songs with and without sheet music, transcribe solos and melodies, accompany singers/other melodic instruments, sight-read at a professional level, etc.
