I am a very detail-oriented person, who majored in foreign cultures, languages and translation studies. I graduated at the University of Turin with the final mark of 110/110 cum laude. I have gained experience in teaching and learned about teaching methodologies during my academic years and months of internship at a local state school as an English trainee teacher. I believe in the mutual enrichment that teaching entails, and I am very passionate about helping people learn.
As for my teaching philosophy, I firmly believe in the centrality of the student in the learning process, and in the secondary role of the teacher. That is not to say that the educators are not important, but rather that teaching is most helpful when they behave as helpers. I am very careful as to ensure that the students are the very protagonist of their learning experience, by internalising not only the topics contained in the syllabi but also the methodologies and strategies that ensure a better understanding of one’s metacognition.
