Graduated in foreign languages (French/Spanish), I spent seven years of my life in France. This gave me an insight into French culture and the main difficulties encountered by French speakers with regard to the language of Shakespeare. I taught English to students of very different levels at the University of Pau and Pays de l'Adour, in Pyrénées-Atlantiques. This helps me meet the needs of a whole range of learners. I really care about an approach focused on the needs of the learner and I do everything to integrate the interests and passions of my students into my lessons. I am not afraid to teach grammar, basic knowledge, without which students would struggle to progress. I favor a "visual" approach which can greatly facilitate vocabulary learning - Indeed, if we remember how and exactly where we learned something, it is very likely that we will retain this knowledge for longer. You are interested in English lessons, motivated, curious... I would be happy to answer your questions, let's get in touch!
I am a great believer in a learner-led approach and try to weave the client's interests through my lessons where possible. I am not afraid to teach grammar and strongly feel that without a strong grammatical framework students will struggle to progress far. I like using visual aids to help students acquire vocabulary - if we can remember how and where we learnt something we are much more likely to retain that knowledge for longer. Good pronunciation is possible! I aim to build learners' confidence to help them speak their chosen language in a way that's going to be easily understood by native speakers.
