Hello, nǐhǎo, Nice to meet you here. I am a Beijing born Chinese, graduated from Peking University, have lived and worked in the UK for more than 20 years. I teach Mandarin in my spare time and at a Sunday school. In recent years, I work as a TA in a college, and set up my own business in teaching mandarin and cultural exchange. My students are from children age 5+ to GCSE, HSK 1-4 level and people in business. I feel very proud and happy to have helped my students pass GCSE and HSK tests, and achieve their goals in life. Teaching approach: I’m a very patient and adaptable person, always have a smile on my face. I understand the cultural differences, difficulties and setbacks of learning a 2nd language. In my lessons, I teach using a variety of multimedia such as Youtube, animations or video and discuss a range of interesting topics, focused on teaching the most useful words and expressions in real life situations, sharing opinions with you in a relaxed conversation. I interact with my students, encouraging them to talk and practice all the time helping them to improve their pronunciation and use of phrases. I customise the lessons according to individual interests and needs, happy to use different textbooks upon your request. Before the lessons start, you can contact me to allow me to know your level in Chinese and requirements. As the Chinese saying goes: A journey of a thousand miles begins a single step. Let’s get started.
