There are 11 basic ideas of chemistry you must master up to age 18 – and it's really common to get the wrong idea about one or more of these. A big part of my job is to uncover the sources of your confusions, helping you understand clearly at a gut level – then you will naturally remember whatever you need on exam day. My job is to turn the abstract into something you can see, hear, touch and even smell – and give you space to think out loud and explore and be curious. Often we will start with real exam questions, and work back through the concepts ... fitting them together like lego bricks... this way you will safely arrive at the correct answers.
