You make music. You perform live. But your visuals are an afterthought — a YouTube loop, a static backdrop, or nothing at all. This class teaches you to build real-time visuals that react to your actual audio, in sync, live on stage. We use TouchDesigner — the industry tool behind installations at Sónar, ADE, and major touring acts — but we approach it entirely from the musician's side. No graphic design background needed. No prior coding required. I've been performing live electronic music in Amsterdam for years, combining biofeedback signals, Ableton Live, and TouchDesigner into a single unified performance system. I'll teach you the workflow I actually use. What you'll learn: How TouchDesigner thinks (nodes, networks, signal flow) — from zero Connecting Ableton Live to TouchDesigner via OSC/MIDI so your visuals respond to your music in real time Building your first audio-reactive patch: beat detection, frequency bands, amplitude mapping Controlling visual parameters with gestures, MIDI controllers, or your instrument Structuring a full performance patch you can actually take to a show Who this is for: Electronic musicians, DJs, live performers, and producers who want to stop separating their sound from their visuals.
