I would love to help you practice and learn my mother tongue, Italian, and guide through conversations in different topics, whether you want to move to Italy or just speak a bit during your Roman holidays. Actually, I love teaching languages because I love learning them myself. For me, learning a language requires patience, willingness and joy. I also believe that learning something new in Italian every day is better than learning too much in a single day. I also think that you must use every new word you learn, by interacting and speaking as much as you can. For this reason, each of my lessons always includes all 5 skills according to the CEFR: - Spoken Production: e.g. I encourage learners to introduce themselves and speak about their main interests without being interrupted. - Listening: e.g. I integrate songs, interviews, lectures according to the learner's goals. - Reading: e.g. articles, film reviews, parts of books and news. - Writing: e.g. formal and informal letters and e-mails, personal accounts, journals. -Spoken Interaction: I always spend time in conversation with the student, at the beginning and the end of the lesson, in order to improve her/his fluency and confidence. I also encourage (but not force!^^) students to do exercises on their own too, so that they are more prepared for the following lesson. I am patient and comprehensive, and I organize my lessons according to the learners' interests and personal goals. From A2- B1 level onwards, I try to speak only in Italian.

I did my university studies in London (bachelor+master). I have already taught these languages to high school students as well as adults. My approach is very dynamic, I structure the lessons with theory, grammar, exercises as well as verbal practice. I teach my classes via Zoom or at my office. I am Italian but I also speak French and English fluently. I started learning French at the age of 4 in nursery school and English at school from age 6. I have completed my university's studies in London (bachelor + master). I already taught these languages to students from high school as well as to adults. My approach to the lessons is very dynamic: I explain the theory and the grammar, we then solve exercises and finally we spend some time practicing conversation. Hallo allemaal, ik ben Valerie en kreeg Portugese les van Melissa. Ik raad Melissa zeker aan. Melissa heeft alles in huis om de les zeer leerzaam, leuk , duidelijk en voorbereid te laten verlopen. Na een paar lessen kan ik al een aardig woordje Portugees! Melissa zorgt voor een positieve energieke les sfeer! Naast de thuis lessen zijn er ook online lessen. Naomi is an outstanding language teacher, highly skilled in teaching which comes from her advanced degree in language studies. She develops a plan based on the needs of the student - in my case, as a beginner she worked out a model that helped me grasp the basics of the structure of the language as well as cultivate the fundamentals of common everyday speech, I would recommend her for anyone wanting to develop their skills in Italian and or Spanish from a beginner to a more advanced stage.
