I am a singer and jazz vocalist with a degree in music composition from the National University of Arts (Argentina). I also write arrangements for ensembles and orchestra. The lessons can be adapted to the interests of each person and also can be in spanish.

Hello there! My name is Rocco, I’m a guitarist and educator currently based in Cologne, and I’m offering private guitar lessons taught in English -or Italian (aber ich spreche auch ein bisschen Deutsch..!). Here are some infos about myself: I grew up in Italy, and graduated at the ArtEZ Conservatory in Arnhem (NL) in 2019. During the last few years I attended the Berklee School of Music in Boston (2014), won the “Locomotive Jazz Festival Giovani” contest (2015), and played and recorded together with musicians such as Jerome Hol, René Creemers, Andre Groen, Pieter Douma and Alan Purves. I have performed in several music festivals such as North Sea Jazz, Moers Festival, InJazz, MusicMeeting, Lowlands, Make-it Jazz, and more. I am currently busy with several projects in the modern jazz scene in Germany and The Netherlands, while teaching in an international school in The Netherlands and having private students in Cologne. I have been giving private lessons since six years now, both classic guitar (focusing on classical technique, reading and interpreting) and electric (mainly jazz/blues/rock vocabulary and improvisation). - Flexible appointments (also in weekends); - Every lesson pack is also available online, with a reduced fee; - Available for beginners intermediate and advanced level; - Our in-person lessons can take place either around the Cologne Ehrenfeld Station or in Eupenerstrasse. . I began my studies at the Maastricht Conservatory in 2017 with Arnoud Gerritse and Ron van Stratum and successfully completed them in 2021. In addition to various band projects in the areas of rock, jazz, hip hop and other related music genres, I have also been giving lessons for about 5 years and since I have now moved to Cologne after completing my bachelor's degree, I would like to offer them here too. The lessons are aimed at both beginners and advanced students and can also be used as preparation for the entrance exam.

My experience as a teacher and my pursuit of self-improvement as a musician have led me to develop an effective method that I have already tested with over a hundred students. Throughout my career I had the satisfaction of studying with great masters of different specialties or styles, each one emphasizing different aspects of flamenco, classical or modern guitar and each one has given me their approach (technique, rhythms, accompaniment, harmony, etc.), which has led me after years of study and compilation to take the best from each one to develop my method. My role in my classes is more that of a personal trainer than a teacher, where I will be very attentive to bringing out the best in my students, finding the right technique to help them develop a good rhythm, working on their rhythm, etc. For me, the role of a teacher, in addition to teaching, is to be part of a team, to maintain morale and constantly improve oneself while always maintaining a love for music. Methodology: I tailor the lessons to the student's level, style, or goals. Generally, the first half of the lesson is dedicated to technique, focusing on proper placement, execution, and relaxation, which will result in a good sound. Over time, I've realized that it's also a way to connect with the guitar, concentrate, and warm up. So, little by little, we'll develop our routine, which will begin by working on basic rhythmic aspects. The second half is dedicated to playing, trying to put into practice what we learned about the technique with the sticks or studying other concerns of the student, which may be a theme, harmony, falsetas, improvisation, or even other styles, etc., always obviously taking into account the search or interest of the student. Ik ben Mark, pianist en student aan Conservatorium Maastricht. In 2026 werd ik toegelaten tot zowel Berklee College of Music (VS) als Conservatorium Maastricht, waar ik ervoor koos mijn studie voort te zetten. Ik geef pianolessen aan leerlingen van alle leeftijden en niveaus. Tijdens de lessen werken we aan pianotechniek, muzikaliteit, improvisatie, gehoortraining en muziektheorie, altijd afgestemd op jouw persoonlijke doelen en muzikale interesses. Je kunt kiezen voor klassieke piano, jazz, improvisatie of een combinatie hiervan. Of je nu helemaal vanaf het begin begint, al ervaring hebt of je voorbereidt op een toelatingsexamen of conservatoriumstudie, ik pas de lessen aan jouw niveau en doelen aan.
