Learn Arabic in a practical, friendly and personalised way. I teach both Modern Standard Arabic (MSA) and Moroccan Arabic (Darija), from beginner to more advanced levels. My lessons focus on helping you communicate naturally and confidently. Depending on your goals, we can work on speaking, listening, pronunciation, vocabulary, grammar, reading and everyday conversations. If you are learning Moroccan Darija, I can also help you understand how Moroccans actually speak in daily life, with useful expressions, dialogues and cultural context. Lessons are adapted to your level and goals, whether you are learning Arabic for travel, family, work, relationships, studies or simply because you are interested in the language. During the lessons, we use conversations, exercises, quizzes, role plays and personalised learning materials so you can practise what you learn immediately. Beginners are very welcome — you do not need any previous knowledge of Arabic.

I am a professional, TEFL and CELTA qualified ESOL teacher with 15 years experience in a wide range of teaching situations, working in Shenzhen, China for over two years (2011 – 2013), and then in Manchester, UK until now. My particular expertise is providing preparatory tuition and support to candidates taking IELTS, OET (Occupational English Test) or Cambridge ESOL exams (eg. B2 First). However, I also have extensive experience in teaching all aspects of general and business English to all levels and ages. Previous roles include working for a large, UK recruitment company where I provided online tuition, mentoring and assessment to groups of nurses in India and the Philippines and later, also Spain and Italy. I was a team member charged with facilitating these candidates’ success in IELTS (and later OET), in which they were required to achieve a minimum band score of 7 in all four sub-tests. This was essential to qualify them to work in the UK’s NHS. The process consisted of a busy weekly programme of scheduled one-to-one Skype sessions (up to 50 candidates per week) and a series of scheduled, 1-2 hour group webinars with up to 100 attendees, for which I personally produced many Power Point Presentations. I gained further remote work experience during the Covid lock-down periods, teaching groups and individuals through online platforms such as Learn Cube, Zoom, Voov (Chinese), Skype and Teams. I believe my lengthy and broad experience in English language teaching and related freelance services has equipped me with all relevant skills, experience and resources to help you succeed.
