I am currently pursuing a postgraduate degree in mathematics education. My classes are designed for those who want to overcome their learning difficulties (and have fun doing it), with a patient teacher committed to student development, which benefits their entire education. I strive to give my students the opportunity to discover how mathematics is present in everyday human life (to help people meet their basic needs) and in nature. Everyone can develop their gifts and talents, and my classes provide the appropriate environment for this. I try to explain the content of the theory and its applications whenever possible, demonstrating the relationship between this content and the human needs that have led to its historical development. I try to help students successfully solve problems related to the theories by guiding them step by step through the solution (to promote their competence, autonomy, and confidence in problem-solving), by asking questions, and, when necessary, by providing further examples and explanations that can lead to a deeper understanding. In my classes, there is no criticism or pressure, there's no room for fear of making mistakes (mistakes are part of our learning process). The atmosphere is joyful and healthy, which encourages students to be themselves and feel free to learn, explore, and ask questions in peace and joy. My role as a teacher is to provide conditions and resources that better enable me to help students develop themselves and their potential to the fullest.

Trusted teacher: I am a physical Natural Sciences student at Cambridge looking to share my love of science with intellectually curious students. I seek to make science fun and accessible for my students. Having achieved outstanding results at GCSE (12 grade 9s) and A-level (4A* 1A), I know what it takes to prepare for public exams and I want to help my students to get a headstart with their preparation. I teach maths, chemsitry and physics to students of all ability levels. My lessons are individually tailored but follow the general strucutre below: GCSE/IGCSE: Lessons are primarily content/revision focused. Homework follows closely the content of the lessons and I provide further reivision resources and notes after each lesson. A-level and University preparation: I assign problem sets for homework due 5pm the night before a lesson. My lessons in physics and chemistry focus on making the content intuitive, so students are understanding rather than memorising. Similarly, maths lessons are taught always from first principles to help students to understand the origins of the techniques we use. The beginning of each lesson is for review of questions from the problem set. These problem sets contain questions from the relevant exam board as well as extension questions to encourage students to think in more depth about the topics we cover. Homework is always marked in advance of the upcoming lesson. Every few weeks I ask my students to sit a test tailored to their examboard so that we can track the progress we are making. This class is intended to deliver academic results, whilst ensuring students enjoy my lessons.

Trusted teacher: I am a Belgian (Flemish) and French student who has recently completed a Master's degree in International Law at the University of Amsterdam. I completed my Bachelor's degree in International Relations at the University of Geneva (magna cum laude) and also spent six months on exchange at UCSB (University of California, Santa Barbara). Additionally, I attended an international high school in France for my secondary education, where I specialized in sciences and achieved a score of 18/20 on the final scientific baccalaureate. The classes at this school were taught in French, english, dutch, and spanish. Here is an overview of my previous tutoring experience: 2021/2022: I worked at "bijlesthuis," a Dutch tutoring institution, where I primarily taught french, dutch, and english to adult learners seeking to improve their language skills. During the same period, I also provided classes to other students through Apprentus. 2021: Through Apprentus and other websites, I assisted several younger students (ages 5-15) in Bern and Geneva, helping them improve their skills in subjects such as math and french. 2017/2020: I worked for three years at a tutoring institution in Geneva called ARA, where I primarily taught french, mathematics, and english. During this time, I also spent two years working at a private school called Florimont, where I supported students aged 11-16 across various subjects by assisting them with their homework. I can teach French, Dutch, and English, and I thoroughly enjoy teaching and assisting students in their progress and acquisition of new skills. As a person, I am flexible, calm, and positive. Marko is an amazing teacher and I would definitely recommend him to anyone! He is very patient, organized, kind and smart. Every class he provides the material and it is very useful, because in this way I can repeat from it after the class. Our online lessons really helped me improve and I became so much better! He also used a digital board which is very convenient and helpful. I loved also how he challenged me in order to work on my skills and improve them. Keep up the great work Marko! :)

Out 20+ teachers I sent requests to, Faten was one of the few who replied very fast. She understood all the specifics I needed for my son and started immediately helping him to speak although he was not eager at all. She is always reachable, her french is great and she really know a way how to make people speak French! Recommending!

So far my daughter had 3 lessons with Christina and finds them very useful. She explains the topics in a way that works for my daughter and she is feeling more confident with her maths. Christina knows the IB DP course very well which is a big advantage. Definitely recommended!
