Thank you so much - I had a very good experience I want to share! Adam I highly recommend Ananda as a language and music teacher. I am at an intermediate Brazilian Portuguese level and (sadly) an enthusiastic perpetual beginner at guitar given a lack of necessary intrinsic ability. She excelled teaching both for the daily 3 hour lessons I had over 3 weeks. Portuguese instruction: Ananda was not dogmatic and met me where I was. She was able to personalize all our lessons. She used current tools of language acquisition - with much spontaneous and directed conversation using comprehensible input. However, she supplemented this with reading aloud together with translation of texts including geography, poetry and other prose. Ananda also drilled me in grammar when she saw this was necessary, even when it meant revision of shaky basics. All of this was with great humor and tolerance to my infelicities. We also went on fun outings, making use of the markets and parks in Porto to improve my working knowledge of Portuguese. Music instruction: Ananda also worked with me on my guitar playing. She has deep knowledge as both a performing musician of early lute music and a composer. She taught me in Portuguese, which meant my learning solfège, how to sound out rhythm and figure out harmony. She also taught me enough tablature to allow me to accompany her in some early lute music. We also worked intensively on Bossa Nova rhythms, as well as other Brazilian rhythms. She has a passion and love of music that is a delight to behold and infectious. Pablo is a great teacher! I began taking drum lessons again after a 8 year break from playing and Pablo has really helped me to get back my passion for drums while cleaning out some old bad habits. He has structured lessons which he tailors to my individual flaws and desires which is really appreciated. He's a down to earth guy, really easy to communicate (Fantastic English) with and organise lessons, even with last minute changes driven by my calendar. I really like his overall approach to drums, the tips and tricks I'm picking up from him are things you won't necessarily pick up by practising alone or reading a book/youtube etc. He focuses on reading music, different playing techniques and playing things which give you enjoyment. For someone who already plays drums and is looking to improve and have fun a long the way, I really couldn't recommend Pablo more!

Yuvraj is a wonderful teacher! I've been studying piano for half a year with him, and the progress never stops. He teaches everything that you need to be a pianist, including the technique, classical theory, jazz theory, as well as how to find good new songs. Within the few months that I've had him, he quickly took me from having zero practical music knowledge to being able to read and play Trinity grade 3 songs on my own. Yuvraj always tries to make piano something fun and enjoyable, rather than just another annoying thing to grind all the time. This is the guy for those who want to learn with a relaxed, slow and steady attitude. Even better if you're down to challenge yourself with new, unconventional music that you might not expect. While I don't really have anything to compare him to, I am very happy learning piano with Yuvraj.
