I have led and conducted school string ensembles and set up beginner string programs for Harrogate Music School, Cardiff Young Strings and The Strings Club, Birmingham. My teaching style incorporates aspects of Dalcroze and Kodaly methodology as well as improvisation and collaborative composition. I develop a bespoke approach alongside each student to ensure they are able to get the most out of their lessons and make lessons enjoyable. My lessons focus on developing technique and skills required to play music the student has chosen and I incorporate play and games into lessons to enable the most effective learning. I work mostly in classical, improvisation and new music contexts but can provide lessons in all genres. Lessons are in English. Regular, irregular and one-off lessons are possible. I teach from beginner-advanced.

Trusted teacher: Professional Violin teacher holding a 15 years + Degree from Conservatory of Padua, Italy, with several years of experience teaching both in Europe and abroad. My methods include the preparatory works for AMEB examination, the Suzuki method, as well as my own method based on European Violin Syllabus and technical works (i.e. Curci). I teach students of all ages and levels, including adults. Parents are encouraged to attend their child's private lessons so that students can be supervised and encouraged when practicing at home. Sam

Sam is an amazing teacher, patient and open to the student's goals and suggestions. His approach is more technical than theoretical but will nonetheless get anyone willing to learn up to speed on the basics into more advanced notions. He assessed what I was already able to do on the guitar to fill the gaps and help me progress into further fields. So far he's taught me the electric guitar, a bit of bass and piano and I'm very happy about all of it.
